"My room wasn't huge, but it was very clean. The staff were excellent, and they offer a free airport shuttle service – just contact them in advance, and they'll be waiting for you at the exit with a sign with your name on it. It's also very close to the airport. The next day when I checked out, I didn't have a taxi app, so the staff helped me call a car and even exchanged 100 RMB for me to pay for the taxi. After the taxi arrived, the staff helped me with my luggage all the way to the car. Highly recommend!"

"The rooms are this hotel are very nice. The location is perfect. The service levels are very high. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Monika and Besang in the restaurant, Sita and Binita for the cleaning service, and all the security staff. Overall, our stay here was very good. The breakfast is very good, with a nice variety. If I could suggest some improvements, it would be fresh pastries for breakfast and maybe some alternatives to cows milk such as oat or almond milk. The other thing is, the gym needs a total refresh. I recommend staying here. It is a very good offer overall. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay."

Beautiful hotel, rare green site in Tamel, air conditioner, hot water, Wi-fi and the lights are on even during blackouts, wonderful helpful staff who all speak good English. Could use a dehumidifier during monsoon season, but all in all the best hotel in the area for miles👍"

"Wonderful hotel! The room was clean, beds very comfortable, and daily housekeeping was excellent! It's quiet, peaceful, and cozy. Breakfasts were absolutely amazing and so varied! There's also a pool if you want to swim. The grounds are well-maintained. The neighborhood itself is good for staying in, very calm. When I evaluate a hotel, I don't judge it solely on luxury or facilities. What matters most to me is how the people working at the hotel interact with their guests. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a very impressive hotel in that regard. From check-in to check-out, every staff member – at the front desk, in the restaurant, and from housekeeping – greeted me with natural smiles. It didn't feel like formal customer service because I was a 'guest,' but rather as if they were treating me as an individual. The hotel's location is also excellent. While it's within walking distance to the Thamel area, upon returning to the hotel, you find a calm space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a very convenient hotel for both sightseeing and staying. I also enjoyed breakfast every day. Beyond the variety of dishes, Nepali cuisine was also offered, which was great for a traveler like me to easily enjoy local flavors. On the other hand, there was noise in my room at night, and there was one day when I couldn't get enough rest. This was disappointing. However, what impressed me even more was the hotel staff's response afterward. They listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each issue without downplaying it. Their attitude conveyed a strong desire to 'improve the guest's stay.' During my travels, I pay close attention not only to the hotel's facilities but also to the people working there. No matter how grand the building, if the people aren't good, I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel again. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a hotel where I felt human warmth. Of course, there are always areas for improvement. But this hotel has an attitude of being willing to address those areas. That was of great value to me. That's why if I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would choose this hotel once more. "The stay was comfortable . Location is superb .5 min to Airport . Restaurant service was good. When I stays Lift was not working ,but they provided help with the luggage. Over all good stay. "

"I would rebook this hotel in a heartbeat. It was situated in the heart of Thamel, which is known as a backpacker district, but it did not have that feel at all. It was very isolated from the main road and was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed. It is located within walking distance of some tourist things and easily accessible on a motorbike to get to others. There are a lot of good restaurants offering local cuisine nearby as well which was great. It is the perfect location to destress and unwind in the evening."

"The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are quite large too. Breakfast is mainly Western and Indian, and the taste is decent. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, with many tourist attractions within 3km. The ground floor environment is also very good, with a large lawn and a big swimming pool (though I didn't see anyone swimming). The lawn area is lovely. Soundproofing is average, but everything else is good."
