Our stay at Marriott Perhentian exceeded every expectation once again. This was our third visit in less than 12 months, and each time the experience has been even better than the last. , with crystal-clear water, pristine beaches, multiple swimming pools and incredible views in every direction. The resort itself is beautifully designed, perfectly blending luxury with the natural beauty of the island. What truly makes this place exceptional is its people. Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and genuinely cared for. Their kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to help at every opportunity made all the difference. Special thanks to Faizal and zafirah our host. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The food was consistently excellent, offering great variety and outstanding quality. With 3 restaurant to chose from, Sekoci for fine dining and day time pizzas and quick bites, Dapur for breakfast and dinner with wide selection of delicious local and international food. A special thank you to the entire Marriott Perhentian team for creating such memorable experiences. It is rare to find a place where every aspect of hospitality is delivered with such passion, consistency, and genuine care. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Marriott Perhentian to anyone looking for an exceptional island getaway. Returning three times in less than a year speaks for itself, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

On our first day, the coffee machine wasn't working, and the bed sheets had a few stains. We mentioned it to the staff, and they immediately came to fix the coffee machine and replace the sheets. The issue was handled quickly and professionally, which gave us confidence that they genuinely cared about their guests. Throughout our stay, everyone—including the hotel manager—was incredibly attentive. They regularly checked in to ask if everything was okay, whether we needed anything, and if we were enjoying the food. We always felt well looked after. Before arriving, we were a little worried because we had read some rather mixed reviews online, especially considering the price. However, our experience was completely different. The food was excellent, the facilities were well maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to help us with everything—even assisting us in finding a nearby clinic when we needed one. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and felt very comfortable throughout. We would happily recommend Peridot Resort to anyone visiting Redang Island.

We had a wonderful stay and were truly impressed by the hospitality. All the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The resort offers a beautiful view and is the perfect place for a beach getaway. The breakfast was delicious, although the selection was somewhat limited. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant by the river, where the food was excellent. Special thanks to Chef Ann for recommending some delicious dishes. There was a minor issue with our room during the stay, but it was handled professionally and resolved promptly by the hotel team. We greatly appreciate the efforts of all the staff, especially Mr. Ong and Ms. Liza, for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future.

Room is relatively clean. Beddings is fine. Lighting is too dark. AC cold good. Fridge is disgusting so we didn't use. Bathroom is horrible 😓 I booked 3 rooms all 3 shower head not in good condition. Please change the shower head! It doesn't cost you a bomb. The doors is disgusting. Feel so uncomfortable. We wash our hair at the pool shower area. There isn't any choice of food. Only the coffeehouse limited food. If wants to go to Long Beach for more choice of food will cost Rm50/per head boat. The only good experience is the employees all are superb professional, good manners, helpful.

I read a lot of reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't too high. But after arriving, I found that besides the high price, everything else was truly excellent. Our hotel was the only one on the entire beach, so if you like fewer crowds, this is the place to go. Bryan was fantastic; he sent us all the hotel activities and restaurant information upon arrival, and he was very quick to respond to any requests. Every staff member at the hotel greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. We brought our child, and they even sent snacks to our room every day. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Honestly, besides being expensive, there's nothing to fault!

The facilities show that the hotel is quite old, which is evident from the wooden doors and furniture. It's roughly equivalent to a 3-star hotel in China. Hygiene: It was just okay, as there were still black marks on the sheets that hadn't been washed off. The restaurant serves Muslim-style food. People from China might not be used to it. You could try eating in the nearby Chinatown instead. Service: Excellent! In the morning, we were taking too long to get a Grab, so we asked a staff member to call a taxi for us. They immediately found a taxi that arrived in five minutes. Many thanks!

We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon. By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before. The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach. The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy. I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining.

We had an unexpectedly beautiful 4D3N stay at Redang Divers Resort. Initially hesitant due to the 3.2 rating, we booked as it was the only available option, but it turned out to be the best decision.From the warm yet respectful service by Wei to meeting the humble owners Adrian and his wife, everything felt genuine and comfortable. The food was outstanding (we truly miss the food!) honestly among the best we had in Redang.The beachfront view was amazing, white sand and turquoise sea right in front of our room. Simple, raw island vibes, clean rooms, and a truly heartfelt experience for our family. A small note: the toilet flooring could use an upgrade, but we understand refurbishment is already underway with the new management.Not a “luxury” resort, but definitely 5-star in heart, service, and overall experience.We’ll definitely be back. The room is large, with a courtyard, and a little bit of a Maldivian feel, but no hair dryer was found. The food is good, the taste is OK, the ingredients are fresh, and it is slightly more expensive than other nearby restaurants. The service is still quite enthusiastic, especially the on-demand food service staff for breakfast, who are very enthusiastic and proactively ask if there are any dishes that need to be ordered. Proactive service is precious and feels very good. However, the front desk service is perfunctory, seemingly enthusiastic but not solving the problem. After waiting for a long time, no one took the initiative to tell us that we can check in. We went to the front desk to ask, and a few chatty waitresses smiled and said that it was ok now. When we left, we missed the boat because the front desk arranged to wait for the water taxi. Obviously, we were very anxious and asked many times, but the front desk told us that there was no problem. The boat is often late. I asked them to call the shipping company to inform us that we have not boarded the boat yet, and I guess there was no communication. I was speechless. The service to customers should not be just superficial enthusiasm. I hope to really solve problems for guests instead of creating problems.

Although the food selection was limited, the taste was good. The hotel's location was relatively secluded, making it suitable for travelers who prefer quiet. When we first entered the room, we were struck by the strong smell of paint. The staff said it was from freshly painted rooms, but the smell made us feel dizzy and nauseous. We asked to change rooms, but the other rooms also had a strong smell. The pillows looked clean, but they were full of mold. There were many ants in the room, everywhere. I slept in one night and got several bites.
