"The location right in the heart of the Medina is great, but the downside is the noise from its bustling streets until 2 AM. Even with the sound-insulating double-glazed windows, closing them brings in a musty smell, forcing you to open them again. The Moroccan breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly. They only provide small bars of soap and no shampoo in the bathroom. The room is spacious and has a small flat-screen TV. It's best to ask for a higher floor, and if possible, a quieter room."

"Nice hotel, but I expected more given the price. The welcome was average, and there was a wait at check-in. The sofa bed for my son was not at all comfortable; he ended up with back pain. The staff were quite intrusive, constantly asking if we were guests of the hotel, and clearing the breakfast table even before we were finished... Loud music played until 1-2 AM, and there was noise when waking up. Otherwise, the bedding was comfortable, and the location was good."

"Riad Almisk is a stunning blend of beauty and authentic Moroccan architecture, with every corner thoughtfully curated for the perfect aesthetic. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with all the standard amenities. What truly sets this Riad apart is the exceptional staff; they are deeply passionate about their culture and went above and beyond to help us plan our itinerary, suggest restaurants, and find authentic shopping spots. Additionally, the on-site spa is a highlight—offering an incredible experience at very reasonable prices. While we highly recommend staying here, a few minor improvements could enhance the guest experience: providing complimentary bottled water and expanding the breakfast selection, which is currently a bit limited for vegetarians. Overall, this is an ”Instagram-worthy” gem that you shouldn't miss in Marrakech."

"We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel as a whole, including the rooms, is quite run down. The photos during booking are a bit different from reality… The beds are comfortable, and while the room is a bit small, it's bearable. The bathroom is large, BUT the plumbing is poor, and the water pressure is very low at any time of day. The breakfast is a buffet, and it's not bad."

"Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking. This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy. The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout. The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour. There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm. Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels. We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display. The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family"
