Kikuman Hotel in the town of Minamoto Onsen is a very traditional Japanese onsen hotel. The hotel staff are very welcoming, but the front desk staff's English is only so-so, so you need to use Japanese to communicate. The rooms are tatami rooms. They are quite clean and tidy, and the onsen bath is also very nice. In particular, dinner included the famous local Manyo beef and blackthroat fish, which were very delicious. A single room for 1300 yuan a day includes breakfast and dinner, which I really enjoyed.
It's a very old hot spring hotel. There's a smell in the corridor and the hardware is really bad. Sanchao Hot Spring is average and not worth a special trip.
Of course, the hotel also has good features, such as providing free pick-up and drop-off services. Dinner was also prepared with great care
We booked a sea-view room, but we could only see half the sea. The weather was bad, so we missed the sunset 😌. The dinner buffet was good; the Wagyu beef tempura was nice, and the crab legs were all-you-can-eat 😃.
There is a problem with the translation of the hotel name. Kaike=かいけ=皆生, how can this be translated into Kaike?
Take the bus to Kaike Onsen Center in front of JR Yonago Station, 300 yen to the end, with your back to Family Mart and walk for two minutes. It will be miserable if you take the recommended Borocho. It is estimated to cost around 2,000 yuan to take a taxi.
This hotel is divided into two floors, east and west. Check-in is in the east building, which is connected by an underground passage, but the elevator in the west building does not reach the first floor underground. You need to climb to the first floor and then take the elevator to the second floor to take a hot spring bath.
This hot spring is the only one that dares to lay wooden floors in the large bathhouse since I wandered around Japan so far. The water quality is also very good, with the same salty taste as that in Atami, and the limbs immersed in the water will glow with a silver light.
And once you open the door of the large bathhouse, other hotels are generally aisles or small compartments, but this one will directly face the narrow bathhouse, surrounded by water vapor, and the visual experience is very good. You can see the sea directly from the outdoor hot spring.
But its ice cubes are actually charged, 110 yen per cup.
Since you are here, you must go to the Adachi Museum of Art. Unfortunately, there are very few trains from JR Yonago to Yasugi, and most of them require extra money to buy express tickets. The taxi ride for this section costs 3,000 yen. You have to consider carefully if you want to go to the Adachi Museum of Art, such as living near Yasugi Station.
Very good, Christmas also gave a small gift, the service staff is very warm. It is very close to the Jisheng Sightseeing Center Station, it is very convenient to go to the Mizi Station, and there is a family opposite.
1. The staff is great. They are super nice.
2.The room is 'huge'... kind of like what you’d expect in a good dorm room.
3. The air purification works really well, so the space feels fresh.
Anyway, if you’re traveling solo and staying for one or two nights, I highly recommend checking this place out. By the way, the transportation is very convenient.
The room was spacious, the service was good, and the hot spring was excellent. I was able to stay cheaply, and it was a hotel perfect for business use.
I used it during my trip to Tottori.
It takes about 5 minutes from the station and the road is easy to understand.
The facility looked a bit old, but there was no problem with use.

Very Good
One of our favourite onsen hotel stays during Tottori trip. The room is clean and very comfortable. The public onsen is quite large with different types of onsen baths with indoor and outdoor area. Fun dipping and relaxing in different pools. Man and women bath will swap between morning and evening, so we got to enjoy both. The washing area is clean and large, not only have the usual shampoo and body wash, there are facial wash, face scrub and foot scrub as well. Kaiseiki Dinner was fantastic and delicious. The service staff was very friendly and tried his best to explain the dishes in a mix of Japanese and a little bit of English. The shuttle bus service from Kurayoshi Station to the hotel make it very convenient.
A bit old facilities but equipped with all necessary amenities. Very comfortable stay. Hot spring was spacious and very well maintained, with outdoor spa. Good experience of Japanese hospitality. Would visit again with family.
Had a great stay at this hotel. Location good and easy to find. Place is clean. Hotel staff helpful. Onsen was good. Kaiseki dinner was awesome. I’d recommend this place.
The hotel is cheap, but it's not backwards!! It just feels a little antique(?),,, It might have been a special-class tourist hotel in the past. It's big, and it has all the facilities (amenities, etc.) you'd expect from a large public bath!! In particular, the dinner buffet is the best...!!! I want to go again~~~~ It was the happiest buffet I've ever had~~
IISAEThey were truly kind! The young man at the counter seemed incredibly cheerful and kindly guided me. The room was spacious, the price was reasonable, and overall, I was satisfied. There are two public baths, and the men's and women's baths alternate between morning and evening. On a small note, there was a bit of dust on the TV and remote control. I don't watch TV, so...? And I was a little disappointed with the location of the breakfast area. I saw the kanji for ”Daisen-something” and followed the map in the room to find the breakfast area. But it only said ”dining area.” I had to search for the room number on the table to make sure it was the right room. Still, I was very satisfied with the price and would definitely return. However, check-in is at 5:00 PM. If the room is ready early, you can check in first, so I arrived at the accommodation at 4:40 PM and was able to check into my room. They also let me leave my luggage.
