"Hotel front desk staffs were all super friendly, able to communicate well in English, helpful and professional. We came to the front desk at 1pm (outside check in time) but the staff kindly let us check in early without even being asked. Our room was clean, has good layout, even though it feels a bit tight if you have multiple big luggages but that's typical for all business hotels in Japan. The hotel is close to Sendai station (5 mins walk) where you have endless food choices. There is a 7-11 right at the ground floor of hotel. Yodobashi shopping centre is just across the hotel where you can find large supermarket Lopia, Daiso, Uniqlo, GU, Matsukiyoshi, sport stores and everything else you need. I would happily stay in this hotel again if I got a chance to visit Sendai again."

"This hotel was an excellent choice, and I was honestly surprised that it was so affordable.
The location is very convenient, right near Sendai Station, so it was easy to get there with suitcases. Check-in starts at 3 p.m., but if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage or relax in the hotel. At 3 p.m., someone was playing the piano, and guests could enjoy drinks and snacks, including very tasty mochi.
The room was spacious, and every centimeter was used thoughtfully. There were shelves, hangers, and everything we needed. Pajamas, slippers, and bath amenities were provided, and in addition to the usual items, there was also a facial care set.
The public bath was another great feature, especially after a long day of walking. Washing machines and dryers were available on the same floor, which was very convenient.
We tried the breakfast on one of the days, and it was definitely worth it. While we were eating, an organ was playing, which made the atmosphere even more special.
I can only recommend this hotel and would be very happy to come back. Thank you very much!"

This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Zao hotel provides parking on site. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
"My wife and I stayed in the villa for two nights.
Overall, the atmosphere was great and we were able to experience something out of the ordinary.
The villa's open-air bath, filled with natural hot spring water, is charmingly carved out of a large rock.
It was spacious enough to stretch out and enjoy a luxurious stay.
The washing area was separated by a door, making it easy to stay warm, and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness, even in the cold season.
And above all, since our room had its own open-air bath, being able to use it whenever I wanted felt incredibly luxurious.
For dinner, we chose the yakiniku plan, which included a Zao beef platter, which we enjoyed grilling over charcoal to perfection.
The breakfast menu was also very varied and satisfying. I ended up overeating.
This is definitely the perfect inn for an extraordinary experience. Thank you for the wonderful memories."

I can see the famous bay with its many islands, including the Fukuura island (福浦𡷊), in the morning with wonderful sun rise view. The Japanese breakfasts were excellent especially the one on our second day… fresh grilled fish, etc.. The Kaiseki dinners for both nights were wonderful with fresh grilled fish and high grade wagyu beef plus oyster cooked to perfection. The Onsens on the other hand are just Okay. However with the view of Fukuura island and its red bridge … nice."

"I've stayed here about 5 or 6 times now, and every visit, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is excellent. The staff's polite language and their commitment to ensuring guests never feel uncomfortable truly put me at ease.
This time, for the first time, I opted for a room-only stay as I wanted to enjoy a relaxing hot spring trip without any interference. (Previously, my best friend and I always chose plans with breakfast and dinner.)
This kind of stay is also very reasonable, and given the reliable service, I'll continue to choose Rantei for all my future visits to Akiu Onsen, rather than trying other inns.
Having just turned 60, I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to visit...

Reception at 5 pm was efficient and I didn’t have to wait. Street level provides access to two lifts that take you to the second floor reception area.
Wifi worked well and the air conditioning was good especially in the cold weather. Rooms are not huge but adequate size. I booked a larger room of which there are a few.
House keeping was also good, though guests need to request daily services by placing a card on the room door otherwise daily service is not provided. The two lifts can be slow especially during busy times such as morning checking out.
The location is good being about 15 minutes walk from the main Shinkansen station. Being in a built up area there aren’t any views of parks etc. The hotel is five minutes walk to the covered main shopping mall-street which are common in Japan. There are major shopping malls in the central train station area.
There are also many nearby restaurants that should suit most people’s budget and type of food. Beef tongue is a specialty in Sendai and many restaurants offer it at various prices.
Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30 minutes of the hotel such as temples and museums.
Overall a pleasant stay and happy to visit again.

tinazhao888The hotel's location is excellent. The reception is on the 4th floor of the building, which also houses the Shinkansen and JR stations. Inside the building, you'll find plenty of dining options, a supermarket, and shops. The surrounding area is bustling with even more shopping malls. It's incredibly convenient on a rainy day, as you can spend half the day exploring without even stepping outside. It's also super easy for train travel; just go downstairs, and you're there, saving time on commuting and waiting. The breakfast is also quite diverse.

Guest UserTruly a 10/10 experience. The interior is just as aesthetic and spacious as the pictures suggest. It’s perfectly situated near public transport, making it so easy to get around, yet it remains peaceful and quiet with zero street noise. The room was spotless and had a fresh, clean scent. This wasn't my first time staying here, and it certainly won't be my last. I’ll be recommending this spot to all my friends!

YongchuangtianyahahahaThis hotel is a 10-minute walk from Sendai Station, with four or five convenience stores nearby. It's also very close to the Sendai Morning Market, and there's a free observation deck on the 30th floor of the building next door. Right outside the hotel, you'll find a wide variety of restaurants, including ramen shops, Chinese restaurants, and Japanese diners.
The lobby has a style reminiscent of the early 20th century, and the rooms are very well-maintained and feel new. The bathtub is large, and a particularly great feature is how fresh the air in the room feels; you won't feel stuffy even after spending a long time there. The windows on the 8th floor can also be opened. The only minor drawback is that the room lighting is a bit too bright and not very soft. Both the mattress and pillows are very comfortable, and the front desk staff are highly professional. The beverage vending machine prices are also cheaper than what you'd typically find at other hotels.

LeiaLThe hotel is conveniently located just right outside of the train station (shinkansen west exit) and it’s linked to the shopping malls that are around the stations. The bus stops are just below as well, good if you are taking a bus out or if you joined day trips departing from Sendai. The hotel is also very comfortable and the hotel staff are very friendly.

jie125This hotel is supposedly the best in Sendai, so when I visited, I booked two nights to experience it. It's a bit far from Sendai Station, which isn't ideal if you're lugging luggage. We ended up taking a taxi from the station. Since we arrived before check-in, we were able to store our bags on the first floor. Later, after we checked in, a staff member brought them directly to our room. My room type offered a nice view, with a distant glimpse of the Great Kannon statue. The room itself was spacious, but it definitely felt old; many facilities are in need of repair and updating.
