"We have booked it spontaneously.We were very late in the hotel.Unfortunately the poster could neither speak German nor English, but the lady was very friendly, helpful and very nice on the day service.We were very positively surprised when we were the room entrate.Rooms and bathrooms were very well equipped. "It's a charming old residence nestled in the Chianti hills. I was welcomed by Florencia, who is very friendly and kind. The room was impeccable, the pool was very comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The only downside is the noise from the outside air conditioning; sleeping with the window slightly open makes it audible, but it's completely manageable. Thank you, I'll be back again sooner rather than later."

"Brilliant location and great rooftop views
We stayed here for a short family trip to Pisa and the location was excellent — really close to the Leaning Tower and easy for exploring the main sights on foot.
The rooftop bar was one of the best parts of the stay, with great views across Pisa and towards the tower. It was a really nice place to relax in the evening after sightseeing.
The hotel worked really well for a short city break and we’d happily stay here again, especially for the location and rooftop terrace."

"Environment: Old Qian Villa Manor Hotel has two main buildings and several courtyard suites, with a helipad nearby. The rooms and lobby are furnished with old wooden furniture, porcelain, and oil paintings.
Cleanliness: It's an old house, but it's very well-maintained, and the cleanliness is good.
Service: The front desk, restaurant, and room service staff are all very enthusiastic, especially the bellhop. We arrived at the hotel at 12 PM, and it was raining outside. After the front desk completed all the procedures, due to a language barrier, I only understood that the front desk said check-in was at 2 PM. However, the bellhop took our luggage and gestured for us to follow him. He escorted us all the way to our room, then showed us how to get power. When I said I didn't have a room key, he gave us his key to use for power. So, we inexplicably checked in at 12 PM. A little while later, a girl knocked on our door to deliver our room key and retrieve the bellhop's temporary card. It felt quite heartwarming, especially since we were traveling with elderly parents and children, plus two large pieces of luggage. We had no idea where we would wait for two hours, especially since there's nothing around the hotel.
The hotel's dining is also excellent, as you can see from the pictures."

"A slightly dated hotel.
The plumbing pipes are noisy in the mornings. (That was the only negative point, though.)
Since I'm from Germany, everything is better than my own apartment (I'm from Böblingen, and you wouldn't want to live there...).
Therefore, I don't know if my opinion carries much weight.
The cleaning staff was very competent.
The reception was friendly, and with the right partner, the hotel is well-suited for exploring the northern cities of Tuscany, especially Florence. Good value for money. I can't comment on the food, as I always ate out."

"We had a great stay at Maxim Axial. Very centrally located, it’s a 2 mnts walk to the Duomo, , 7 mnts to the Academia and 5 mnts to Uffizia. Every touristy thing is within walking distance and evenings are vibrant because of the live music in the squares around.
Hotel serves a very good buffet breakfast - bread, eggs, cheese, coffee, croissants, Greek yogurt, seeds, fresh fruits etc.
Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly, hotel is clean and you can check photos for the rooms. We had a 3 bed room. Enough space to keep things."

GGuest UserExcellent location, excellent treatment and service by all the staff, especially by the receptionist who is there in the mornings and who knows how to speak Spanish. Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down.
Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Agriturismo Podere l’Aione during our Tuscany road trip, and overall it was a pleasant stay with warm hospitality, but there is one important point future guests should know.
First, the positives. The property itself is very charming and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside. The compound is spacious and relaxing, and the small cottage-style rooms feel cosy and private. The rooms appear fairly new (the property is only about four years old) and have modern amenities with a proper heating system, which made the stay comfortable. Parking inside the compound is also very convenient and safe.
The hospitality was excellent. The owner’s daughter who welcomed us was very friendly, helpful and lovely. The lady attending breakfast was also incredibly warm and attentive, making the morning experience very pleasant. The people running the place truly make guests feel welcome.
However, the main reason for our feedback is that the first photo shown in the listing does not appear to be this property. The image appears twice in the listing and shows a much larger estate with a very big swimming pool and a different compound layout. We booked the stay thinking it was that beautiful estate shown in the photos and were excited to experience that setting.
When we arrived, we realised the accommodation is actually a smaller white cottage-style agriturismo, which is still beautiful, but quite different from the property shown in the first images. The one I uploaded the first two picture does not belong to this property. We were quite disappointed. Some more, it is the first image listed in this property, so we thought it is but if not. Because of this, it felt a little misleading at first as we kept wondering where that particular property in the photos was.
In terms of pricing, similar agriturismo stays in this region with comparable cottage-style rooms can often be found for around SGD150 per night. However, we paid over SGD250+ which is roughly about 40% higher, because we believed we were booking the property shown in the main photo with the large swimming pool and grand compound.
To be clear, the place itself is lovely, cosy, peaceful and well maintained, and the hospitality is wonderful. Our only suggestion would be for the management to update the listing photos so they accurately represent the actual property, which will help future guests have the right expectations.
A small note for guests with mobility concerns: since the compound is quite spread out, you may need to walk a short distance and take a few steps to reach some of the cottages.
Overall, it is still a charming countryside stay with very kind hosts, but the listing photos should better reflect the actual property

The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.
My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff.
While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. GGuest UserThis hotel's rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean! They provide a wide array of disposable amenities, including slippers and body lotion, which is quite rare for European hotels. Our room even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool downstairs and the surrounding trees.
While breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, the variety was impressive, even featuring honey with a honeycomb.
The front desk offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful.
A thoughtful touch was the free long-handled umbrellas available for guests, especially since it happened to be raining during our stay.
The only real downside is that, despite being close to Florence train station in a straight line, the walk from the station to the hotel is actually quite long. Plus, exiting the Florence station involves going down a set of stairs, which is very inconvenient with large luggage. This made the walk to the hotel feel even longer, especially with intersections where poor signal made maps unclear and it was easy to get lost.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel. The internal environment is very well-maintained, and the front desk staff are patient and polite. If I have the chance to visit Florence again, I would definitely choose this hotel. The price is truly excellent value for money.

The facilities were quite old – the carpet, bedspread, and towels were all pilling. Breakfast was decent, with some green vegetables available. The location was relatively good; we could walk to all the attractions. After dark, we strolled around nearby and even stumbled upon a carousel and a large Milan Winter Olympics logo.

Ppaolo roatI stayed at the Continental Hotel for a night on August 16 and found my mixed experience. Although it is a 4-star hotel, I noticed some areas that could benefit from a restructuring.
Position and services:
The hotel's location is certainly a favourable point, being directly on the sea and equipped with a large pool, but I found a disadvantage with regard to the service on the beach. It was not told me that it was only available until 12:00 the next day. This detail was revealed by the bathroom, which told me that I should have paid for half a day if I wanted to stay on the beach until 16:00, when I had to leave the building.
Room and cleaning:
The room was quite small and I noticed that the windows were dirty, which did not make a good impression when I arrived.
Frokost:
The breakfast was in the average and, although I had no alternatives available, I found it good enough to start the day.
Price:
Finally, the price I paid for one night seemed rather high compared to the services offered, especially since I was looking for a more accessible stay.
In conclusion, the Continental Hotel has a good potential thanks to its location, but there are aspects that require significant improvements to justify the price and expectations of a 4-star hotel. I hope that management will take these suggestions into account in order to provide better experience in the future.

GGuest UserTitle: Disappointing Experience That Didn’t Match the Photos
I booked a Premium room specifically because the listing photos showed blue-sky views and a golden dome. However, upon arrival I was assigned a room on the first floor facing a dark, rundown alley—nothing like the images. The bathroom also didn’t match the photos: it was much smaller, with virtually no counter space.
When I raised this with the hotel, I was told I hadn’t booked a “Premium room with view.” At the time of booking, my only options were: a cheaper “Deluxe,” a more expensive “Premium,” and a “Suite.” As a guest, I relied on the photos shown for the Premium category, which all featured a view. The mismatch felt misleading.
I asked about changing rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked and that they had already given me a “larger” room of 20 m². The stated size range for the Premium room is 18–23 m², so this didn’t resolve the core issue—the lack of the view shown in the photos. After persistent requests, I was offered a second-floor room in another building without an elevator. That room had a larger bathroom but a smaller bedroom, and the window opened directly onto exhaust vents. It wasn’t a viable alternative.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience for a five-star property. While staff were polite in manner, the room assignment and photo discrepancy felt misleading, and there was no practical solution offered despite the hotel being aware of the issue. To add to the frustration, I later noticed my luggage had been dented.
In summary: the Premium room I received did not match the advertised images—especially the view and bathroom—and the lack of clear labeling (e.g., “with view” vs. “no view”) led to unmet expectations. I hope the hotel updates its listings to accurately reflect room types and views so future guests can book with confidence.

CChuWLThe hotel is conveniently located - 15 to 20 minute walk to both Firenze SMN Train station and also the old town of Florence.
The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. There is also a spacious waiting room for both waiting and luggage storage.
The room is very clean and modern and amenities such as complimentary water and a modern TV are provided.
Two minor complaints are that my bathroom doorknob was dislodged somehow and also that my bed was lined in the middle so i could only sleep on one side - perfect for couples but not ideal for solo travellers.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel as it is afforable, convenient, and also clean, and has friendly staff.
