"After a bad stay over the summer that I had booked direct with the hotel I was worried, but my stay on Monday was amazing. Check-in was short, swift and painless. The room was compact but perfect for me. My one niggle is the technology in the room TV has limited selection, and working it needs a degree. The room was clean and comfortable and the AC/heating worked. Staff were friendly. The adjoining room room, though locked, was a concern for a solo traveller, but I suppose it can't be helped. The hotel is located right on the sea front. I had lovely stay."

"The hotel is located near the waterfront and the city centre. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. It’s convenient to eat and play. The room is tidy and clean. Recommend this hotel to those who like the sea."

"The outside of the hotel needs sprucing up, the inside is tired too, but our room was huge. A slight sea view too. The staff were all lovely, breakfast was great too. The location was a pleasant walk away from the Princess Theatre. Plenty of places to eat along the way too."

"The hotel was really convenient for the train station being only 5 to 10 minutes walk away. This was great as we had booked a train via Trip at a super price. The hotel is a great base to explore the area including Brixham, Torquay, Teignmouth and Dawlish - using the train was cheap and quick. Now for the hotel - We arrived at around 2pm and the room was ready which was a result. The lift is operated by the room key and is good for security. The room was clean and large with a super king sized bed and a walk in shower with toiletries and hairdryer. There is also an iron and ironing board if needed. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet and soundproofed. There is air con or heating in the room and the maid visited daily to make up the room and replenish the tea and coffee. We booked a breakfast included room - highly recommended! There is a buffet for hot breakfast plus cereals, fruit, toast, croissants and pastries. Tea, coffee and juices. Everything was replenished as needed - My advice is to book this because it is £18 PP if bought on the day. The staff here were exceptional from the front desk to the maids and the restaurant and bar staff - very nice crew and most helpful and polite. We ate in the hotel on one of our nights and found there to be a decent choice with a vegetarian option or two. There are a few good eating houses nearby - we recommend Henrys Bar and The Local Thai as really good places. Overall this hotel is extremely good and very good value for money - We will stay again if in the area."

"As usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area."

"We waited a good 15-20 minutes at the door ringing but no answer, a guest let us in and waited in the reception before anyone came. The room was hot on arrival so we turned down the radiator and opened the windows. Cleaning was not great and we found receipts in the drawer, the bed was two singles pushed together and you could feel the gap! The shower is just ok not powerful and the en-suite is dated and small, no extra toilet paper and not even half a roll on the roll that was left! Breakfast time, we waited for about 10-15 minutes before we asked for our order and the selection was not great!"

"Excellent location, staff lovely really friendly and helpful. Next time would try and book one of the cottages. Room we had was at the front of the pub and due to the heat the wi dows had to be open which meant people outside until midnight disturbing when trying to sleep. Food really good and waitresses lovely very helpful. Will definately return and would recommend for a short break."

"We had a really lovely stay at Leonardo Hotel. Everything was great from start to finish. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the food was very good. My dish was a little too spicy for me, but the waitress was absolutely lovely and so helpful. She explained that they could make it less spicy and even suggested using a different type of pasta. She was so attentive and genuinely caring — it really stood out and made the experience even better. Breakfast was a typical English breakfast, with a good choice of options, and everything was perfectly fine. Overall, a really pleasant experience. Five stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"A lovely hotel in a charming building with friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms were dated but very clean, and for the price it offered a pleasant, budget‑friendly stay. Personally, I would choose to pay a bit more next time for somewhere more modern, but for anyone needing a cheap and comfortable night, this place is ideal and great value."
