"I booked this for my family, and they were extremely satisfied. When I made the reservation, only twin rooms were available, so I booked two. I contacted the hotel beforehand and asked if it would be possible to get one king room and one twin room if a king was available, or if not, to put a safety rail on one of the twin beds since there was a child with us. To our surprise, when the hotel staff assigned the rooms, they not only gave us a king room but also upgraded us to a suite and arranged for connecting rooms – so thoughtful! My family was very happy with their overall experience, including the dining. Highly recommend!"

"I wholeheartedly recommend this desert hotel, it's perfect for family trips! The experience was truly outstanding.
The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location is superb, right on the edge of the vast desert. In the afternoons, we could easily climb sand dunes and watch the sunset. My kids spent every day playing happily in the sand, they didn't want to leave.
After checking in, the hotel added us to an exclusive WeChat group, which made it super convenient for daily inquiries and requests. I have to specifically praise their heartwarming service: I accidentally lost my DJI Pocket 3 while out and about. I was already disheartened and about to give up, but I decided to ask in the group. To my surprise, someone had found it quickly! The staff immediately secured it and personally delivered it to me. The joy of getting it back was indescribable. Their honesty and efficiency were truly commendable, giving us a complete sense of security.
The restaurant's food exceeded our expectations; the home-style dishes were perfectly to our taste. My child specifically asked for stir-fried tomato and eggs for two consecutive days, and finished every single bite, leaving no leftovers. The hotel offers a wide range of desert activities. We tried the Bombardier ATV, and the slight sensation of weightlessness was just right – thrilling yet fun. The various desert recreational activities kept us busy and content throughout our stay.

"The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhongwei was staying at the Xiang Tengger Desert Hotel. Deep in the Tengger Desert, far from the hustle and bustle, the dedicated shuttle service made check-in hassle-free, saving us the trouble of driving into the sand ourselves. The rooms were clean and dry, which is quite rare for a desert environment, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. During the day, we enjoyed playing on the sand dunes, with plenty of activities like sandboarding and other desert adventures that kept the kids entertained. In the evening, we waited for the stunning desert sunset, and after dark, there was a bonfire party and fireworks. Looking up, we could see the brilliant Milky Way – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm and attentive, quickly resolving any issues we had. "The campground is inside the Impression Tengger Scenic Area. There are campgrounds all around (I checked and found that almost all the ones offering free Tengger tickets are located nearby). Sandstorm offers the best value. 😁 The service was excellent. Mr. Li contacted me right after booking to confirm how to get to the campground. (If you drive, you can only reach the scenic area entrance; it's all desert inside and you have to change cars. There's no guide, and you don't know the way. 😂) Tengger activities are right next to it.
The hotel has a bonfire, iron flower making, fireworks, and a karaoke bar. It's all quite lively. After 5 or 6, when the sun isn't so strong, it's wonderful to walk along the sand dunes for two or three hours. It's refreshing and you can even watch the sunset. The shared bathrooms are also quite spacious, with lockers and benches for storing clothes. A tip for you ladies: wash and change into your regular shoes before returning to your tent (you'll still get sandy if you wear slippers. 😂)
It rained this time, so unfortunately I couldn't see the stars, but it was a special experience. Even with the strong wind and heavy rain, sand didn't get into the tent, which was great. 😀"

"This Mercure hotel by Donghu Lake is amazing! The lakeside scenery is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are well-equipped and clean, with 24-hour AC and hot water. "I checked out yesterday at noon. I booked the hotel after seeing it advertised in a live stream. I was really interested in this new hotel, which just opened in August. Before going, I specifically checked the reviews, and they weren't great; most complaints were about the service. I decided to give it a try anyway and booked for two nights.
I understand that building a hotel in the desert is expensive, and the owner is clearly aiming for a long-term business model. However, given all the effort and investment, why is the service so lacking? The hardware facilities are actually quite decent, but the service truly falls short.
Firstly, there was no greeting from the bellhop; they just immediately asked about check-in and took my luggage. At the front desk, the staff member processed my check-in without even looking up, no smile, no tea, no candies. After we got to the room, there were flies. I contacted a staff member, and they just brought an electric fly swatter for us to deal with ourselves. My child had nosebleeds on both the first and second day, and when I asked if there was a medical room, they said no, and that I'd have to go to Zhongwei city to buy supplies. There wasn't even the most basic level of concern.
On the day of check-in, we received a fruit platter, but we hardly ate it because it was mostly apples, and the pears needed peeling. On the second day, there was no disposable toothbrush for my child, and the single-use toiletries were incredibly small, completely different from what was advertised. Overall, the experience was very poor. If the owner continues to operate like this, fewer and fewer people will visit. The breakfast was also mediocre, and I have pictures to prove it. The only thing I was most satisfied with was the hotel's design style, which is very beautiful and great for photos. It's such a shame that a hotel with such good design is let down by its service."

I had planned to stargaze in the desert, but couldn't, and also missed out on sandboarding. If it had been sunny, I think it would have overshadowed all my dissatisfactions. I imagine it would be a truly wonderful experience on a clear day.
Now for the negatives: the service attitude was quite perplexing. Sometimes it seemed pretty good, but at other times it felt very cold. Because of the rain, we opted for horseback riding, and I found the instructor's attitude very perfunctory. Also, the hairdryer provided by the hotel felt completely mismatched with the overall price point; other hotels in the 1000-ish range often have Dyson hair dryers. The shower head was clogged and spraying water everywhere, so I had no choice but to use the handheld shower. When we arrived, the temperature suddenly dropped to 14 degrees Celsius, and even with the heating on full blast, it was still freezing cold in the morning."

The hotel is large, has many rooms, and is actually full. Business is very good. This is inseparable from the hotel's location, service and price!
The location is perfect: the hotel is located in the city center, 600 to 700 meters away from Wanda Plaza. There is a fruit supermarket next to it. The ”Yisheng Shou” where you can eat hand-made sheep is only 100 meters away... In short, it is very convenient to eat and order takeout.
Attentive service: Call the front desk and the problem can be solved immediately. The room cleaning staff cleaned up the leftovers from our morning meal as soon as they arrived at work at 8:30 in the morning.

With the high temperatures in Suzhou and Hangzhou, this is a great escape to the heat in the northwest, featuring a lovely guesthouse village. Nan'an is the largest guesthouse complex in the area, with 40 rooms out of a total of 100. This time, we stayed at Taojiaying West House, with a swimming pool in front and a farm/ranch/ranch in the back – very pleasant. The room details were also very well done, suitable for large families or groups of friends.
Both restaurants in the village are good for breakfast: 🌻Xiangke (more variety),
🍜Lao Wang Ji Breakfast & Midnight Canteen. Special praise to Nan'an's management team, including Da Yuan and her group; they communicated with us before our arrival and were very attentive. During our stay, our drone got stuck in a tree in the yard, and the management team helped us find a solution from evening until morning, finally fixing it with a tree trunk over ten meters long.
- Climb the Great Wall (five-minute climb to the top) for panoramic views of the Yellow River and the village.
- Feeding lambs, riding camels, milking goats.
I call it the Yellow River version of ”Wuzhen Village”; the entire village has an integrated design with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for photos.

From the moment you step into the hotel lobby, the warm reception from the staff makes you feel very cordial, and the smiling service throughout the whole process makes you feel like Mia. The room design is simple and stylish, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the sound insulation is first-class. It is especially satisfying to sleep until you wake up naturally! The bathroom has a good dry and wet separation, and the toiletries have a high-end scent. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with restaurants and convenience stores all around. The breakfast has a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles are impressive. The restaurant waiters will also ask about your needs attentively. Special thanks to the front desk for their thoughtful service. They proactively recommended tourist routes and even helped deliver the luggage to the room. The price-performance ratio is very high. She informed us that the room might not be big enough and upgraded us, also asking if we'd like to order meals. Since our itinerary was quite tight, we didn't order food this time, but we should definitely try it next time.
The B&B's environment was a wonderful surprise, located amidst a large vineyard. A short bike ride away, the entire Helan Mountain range appears before your eyes. The restaurant also offers an unbeatable view. The tour of the winery was a nice addition too.
Overall, there's so much waiting for everyone to discover. I regret only booking for one day; a more leisurely stay would have been even better.

Guest UserTraveling with kids, this hotel was a perfect stay! The environment was clean and hygienic, and the public areas were neat and bright. The front desk staff, especially X and Y, were very enthusiastic and G was quick to respond to our needs. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, so our child wasn't disturbed. Toiletries were well-stocked. There are many dining options nearby, and getting around is convenient. Overall, it offers great value for money. Our entire stay was comfortable, and they really paid attention to the details.
