"This was my first time visiting Changbaishan. While the outdoor temperature was well below freezing, the indoor environment was extremely warm and cozy. The room features plenty of wooden furniture, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally soft, providing me with a fantastic sleeping experience. The floors were smooth and comfortable to walk on barefoot, and I didn't find any dust on surfaces I touched. The bathroom was spotless, with no neglected corners or limescale buildup. I had been in touch with the hotel butler before arriving; they provided detailed information about the opening hours of the facilities and the shuttle options for each attraction we planned to visit. As a result, our itinerary went smoothly without any hassle. The hotel has a great variety of hot spring pools. Since it wasn't crowded during our visit, we didn't have to rub shoulders with other guests and could truly relax and enjoy the hot springs. By the way, compared to five-star hotels in downtown Shanghai, the food here—both in terms of taste and value for money—was actually enjoyable and made you want to sit down and relish a meal. This is quite rare and commendable for a hotel located inside a scenic area."

"Overall, it was okay and offered good value for money. However, upon arrival, I was only then informed that a non-smoking room couldn't be arranged, which made me feel quite unwell. Due to my personal schedule, I didn't have time to change rooms after further discussion. Suggestions: 1. Please strengthen the enforcement of non-smoking policies in rooms, including bathrooms, in the future. The bath towels in the bathroom even smelled of second-hand smoke, so I had to throw them on the floor. 2. I suggest providing a towel bin. The room and bathroom aren't large, but a bin for used towels would be more hygienic. 3. The toilet paper in the bathroom should also be kept clean. Even though it's just toilet paper, it should still be clean and hygienic. I already provided this feedback directly to the front desk."

According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"My trip to Hyatt Regency Changchun was an absolute delight! A huge thank you to Juliet and Selina for their warm hospitality; it made my stay truly wonderful! My room was upgraded to the 43rd-floor penthouse, offering magnificent views where both sunrise and sunset were beautiful. Downstairs, there's the Peony Garden, home to historical buildings like the Shenwu Hall. This trip back to Changchun was for Jilin University's 80th anniversary. During my stay, I also visited the Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo, the Former Manchukuo Central Bank, Jilin Provincial Museum, FAW Museum, Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park, and an improv comedy show at 'This Mountain'. Stepping into the Hyatt Regency Changchun, the HYATT REGENCY illuminated sign stands quietly amidst the light and shadows of cascading metal installations. This exemplifies Hyatt's standard urban flagship style, yet it's deeply imprinted with Changchun's unique cultural essence. As a high-end benchmark in Changchun's core business district, it's more than just a place to stay; it's a resting oasis for understanding this renowned modern historical city. Lobby: Artistic Narrative, Enveloping the Northeastern Landscape within the Space The hotel lobby is spacious and grand, with warm and substantial marble flooring. The visual focal point is two large art installations. Suspended woven spherical sculptures, tethered by fine steel cables, resemble seeds nurtured by the earth, symbolizing the endless vitality of the 'black land'. On the corridor wall, the 'Source · Migration' artwork, composed of countless reddish-brown circles, depicts the migration patterns of ancient tribes, condensing the human origins of the Northeast onto the wall. The overall space primarily uses natural wood and stone, creating a warm and steady ambiance that mitigates the often cold and rigid feel of luxury hotels. High ceilings, layered lighting, and large glass windows allow natural light to pour in, bringing the clear northern sky indoors. The design avoids excessive ornamentation, instead integrating regional art into a modern minimalist design. Each artwork tells a story, making a stroll through the hotel feel like wandering through a miniature city art museum. Dining Experience: Blending Local Flavors with International Buffet The hotel's buffet restaurant was a major surprise during this trip. The interior uses wooden columns and circular chandeliers to create a warm and relaxed dining atmosphere. The layout is clear, accommodating both open seating and semi-private booths, as well as sofa areas suitable for casual gatherings. Art decorations on the walls add a lively touch. The breakfast selection is rich, featuring Western cold cuts, baked goods, and fresh fruits, while also deeply rooted in Northeastern flavors. A bowl of minced meat noodles is richly fragrant, complemented by tofu pudding, Northeastern stews, and local specialty side dishes. Fresh fruits and freshly squeezed juices provide a refreshing balance. The ingredients are consistently high quality, and the flavors are authentic and unpretentious, preserving the local culinary essence. You don't need to travel far to savor the flavors of the North within the hotel. The dining environment is quiet and comfortable, and the morning sun streaming into the restaurant makes it a perfect moment to enjoy a leisurely meal. Ambiance and Hardware As a Hyatt Regency property, positioned for both urban business and leisure, the hardware quality is excellent. Extensive use of wood veneer in public areas and warm-toned design mitigates the harshness of winter in the North, with meticulous attention to lighting and shadows. The flow in public areas is smooth, from the lobby lounge and art gallery to the restaurant, offering changing views perfect for short stays, work, or casual relaxation. The lobby lounge is the soul of the hotel, with gigantic cascading metal decorative columns as its visual centerpiece. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows are lush green trees, and inside, sofas and a bar are arranged intermittently. Sitting here, one can experience Hyatt's signature refined atmosphere, finding tranquility amidst the city's hustle and bustle. Location and Travel Value The hotel is conveniently located in the core urban area of Changchun, offering easy access to historical buildings like the Eight Ministries of Manchukuo and Shenwu Hall. Just like this trip, during the day, I explored modern historical architecture, and in the evening, I returned to the Hyatt to relax in the hotel's art spaces, completing a dialogue between history and modernity. The hotel itself becomes an integral part of a Changchun city tour. Outside, Japanese palace-style historical buildings, with red gates and gray tiles, stand quietly beneath the clear blue sky; inside the hotel is a modern, light-luxury sanctuary. An ancient and a modern, looking at each other across time and space – this is the unique travel experience of staying at Hyatt Regency Changchun. Hyatt Regency Changchun is not a cookie-cutter luxury hotel. It embeds the humanities and art of the 'black land' into its spaces, infuses Northeastern local flavors into its dining, and interprets the grandeur of the 'Spring City of the North' with refined and understated design. If you're traveling to Changchun, choosing this hotel offers both the mature and stable service and hardware of Hyatt, and an immersive way to touch the city's historical fabric, making it a comfortable and culturally rich choice for an urban stay."

Blending Hyatt’s signature hospitality with the beauty of Changbaishan, Hyatt Regency Changbaishan provides an inspiring destination for unforgettable stays in every season.

"This is my second stay at the Hyatt Regency Changbaishan, and I'd like to thank Alisa for helping us upgrade to a room with a direct view of the ski slopes. A whole month before our check-in, she kept us updated on weather forecasts, ticket purchases, transportation tips, and even helped us book the dog-walking activity. 😀 Although the hotel is a bit older, it is very well maintained. The Hyatt boasts a prime location in the Wanda resort area—just step outside and you're right on Food Street, which is super convenient. There are plenty of activities available too. Even though the main Changbaishan scenic area was closed due to the weather, staying at the hotel for two days was far from boring. The autumn scenery at the hotel's back mountain, the birch forest, and Lake Fokulun was breathtaking. It wasn't crowded during the National Day holiday either, making for a fantastic getaway experience."

"First of all, this review is based on the National Day holiday period and an average nightly rate of 1,500 RMB. The location is great, and the resort views are also lovely. Issues: Having to wait in line for breakfast, no swimming pool, and sharing a hot spring located at another hotel within the scenic area. These are structural limitations and somewhat understandable. However, we were dissatisfied with the following: Perhaps because the hotel is not very new, the bedding had a damp smell. The standard pillows provided were extremely soft, so we called the front desk to ask for alternative types. We stayed for two days in two rooms, and every single time we made a request, it took at least three phone calls and over an hour to resolve. No one would follow up unless we chased them, latex pillows were never available, and on the second day, we were only provided with one buckwheat pillow. Since the room was quite warm and the duvet provided was extremely thick, our sleep on the first night was very uncomfortable. On the second day, we moved to a larger room and discovered that it actually came with a thin quilt?! For a similar price, the bedding differed so drastically. While I was at the gym, the hotel experienced a blackout. There was no staff member present in the gym, and no one checked on it or followed up afterward. I was left alone in total darkness in the gym for five minutes. Just imagine the sense of insecurity and the potential hazards involved. The hotel's subsequent handling of the situation was zero. For a mid-to-high-end hotel, I really wonder how they plan to deliver good guest service. To sum up, the price, service, and overall facilities do not match. Most hotels in this resort area are pretty much the same—I’d recommend looking at other options."

"I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to Tingting at the front desk for this stay! When I arrived to check in, Tingting was incredibly warm and polite throughout the entire process. She handled everything efficiently and smoothly, so there was no long wait. She was patient and detailed in her communication, proactively informing me about breakfast times, elevator locations, and important notes about room facilities. She even thoughtfully recommended local transportation and dining spots. Later on, when I had some questions, she answered them promptly and kindly, always maintaining a gentle and patient demeanor. Her service was truly heartfelt. Unlike typical mechanical greetings, she was genuinely sincere and attentive to every detail, showing a very high level of professionalism. Excellent front desk service is the face of any hotel, and Tingting's thoughtful and attentive service significantly enhanced my stay. I'm so grateful for her dedicated hospitality; it made my trip feel incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel, and if you're lucky enough to be assisted by Tingting during your visit, you're guaranteed to have a wonderful experience. The hotel is right by a forest, so the air is super fresh. It's just a few minutes' drive from the North Gate of Changbai Mountain Scenic Area. They even have a dedicated shuttle service to the scenic area, which is really convenient. Everyone at the hotel, from the owner to the staff, is very welcoming and helpful. This was my first time visiting Changbaishan. This is quite rare and commendable for a hotel located inside a scenic area.

If you are traveling during winter, it's a lovely place to stay, it's like a condo rent out of that sort, during the snow season does look like a santa town, a small village with decor surrounded with lights, very christmasy. Big apartment, we booked 2 bedrooms room type, heat, hot water etc all equipped. Cleanliness is great the first day, sloppy afterwards, stains on floors from day 2 til the day we left. We stayed for 5 nights. Service wise still quite good, 阳阳 is very responsive, 5 stars for her. But it's noisy every morning, there were 3 morning straight I got woken up by the noises at like 6am, other guests or staffs loud chats, banging sounds, furnitures moving around etc.... usually from 6-8 am. Breakfast is horrible though 😆 Overall, it's still a good option.

This hotel, opened in 2025, boasts an elegant and grand overall design. The three-story high, circular lobby with its soaring ceilings is truly magnificent, creating a tremendous sense of space. A unique touch is the elevator buttons hidden within a drawer in the entrance hall table. The rooms feature a wet and dry separation in the bathroom, with Byredo toiletries and a Dyson hairdryer. The bedside is equipped with a capsule coffee machine and a humidifier, and the mattress is very comfortable. The breakfast offers a rich variety of options. The hotel also provides a butler, Ivy, who is incredibly responsive to any issues, offering thoughtful and attentive service. Overall, the stay experience was highly satisfying.

My trip to Hyatt Regency Changchun was an absolute delight! If you're traveling to Changchun, choosing this hotel offers both the mature and stable service and hardware of Hyatt, and an immersive way to touch the city's historical fabric, making it a comfortable and culturally rich choice for an urban stay.

The most satisfying hotel in Changchun. **Facilities:** The hotel is a bit old, but the facilities are well-maintained. However, my room door had a gap, causing a whistling sound when the window was open, but my friend's room door was fine. There's a bathtub and a separate shower. You can ask the front desk for kids' toiletries. **Hygiene:** Very clean, and the room was cleaned promptly every day. **Environment:** Elegant. The swimming pool is a bit small and often crowded with swimming learners every day. Breakfast was quite rich, with Northeastern specialty dishes daily. **Service:** Detailed and enthusiastic, meeting hotel standards. **Changying Studio Museum ticket 10% discount:** You need to get the voucher from the front desk. **Location:** Absolutely fantastic! 👍 To the left is You Shan, directly opposite is Changying Studio, to the right-front is a stop for bus 54, and across the street to the left-front is Wanda Plaza.
