"Coming to Ordos to see a play, I chose this renowned five-star hotel, and I truly felt it was worth the trip.
The room was very spacious, and the view outside the window was absolutely beautiful, with a seating area perfect for a short rest. The long table under the TV was also very convenient to use. The yurt-style canopy over the bed immediately gave it a strong sense of ethnic and regional charm. It’s also worth mentioning that they provided welcome fruits and a souvenir gift.
The breakfast restaurant is on the 2nd floor and can accommodate many people dining at once, so there's no waiting for a table. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with many Inner Mongolian regional specialties like milk tea and meat shaomai. The taste was authentic, allowing me to enjoy breakfast while also experiencing the unique culture of Inner Mongolia. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit."

"Extremely satisfied! Although the price was a bit high, it was definitely worth it.
First, a special thanks to the short-haired female supervisor at the front desk. She was incredibly warm, patient, and thorough, answering every question we had. My daughter carelessly lost a jacket, and she actively helped us communicate and search for it, and it was eventually found (girls love beauty, and her favorite cosmetics were inside). Other hotel staff were also very welcoming; every staff member we encountered during our stay was able to answer our questions and seriously respond to all our inquiries.
Second, from the moment we entered the resort's reception center, there was always a dedicated hotel staff member guiding us. The most convenient aspect was that, apart from occasional self-funded activities, almost everything else had a dedicated guest channel. When you see the long queues of tourists at the actual sites, you'll realize how friendly and necessary this service is. It saves you a lot of time to enjoy other activities.
Then there's the dining. All three meals were included, and they weren't just some perfunctory, unknown drinks. The main dishes were also very diverse and abundant.
After a day of fun, you could return to the hotel and relax at the bar, enjoying free-flow drinks with a live musician.
Finally, the room wasn't huge, but it was compact and tidy. I had also looked up other hotels in the area at the time, and this one felt excellent. The evening party and fireworks on the island created an amazing atmosphere. Due to the weather, we couldn't experience stargazing in the desert or the sunrise over the sand dunes, or the desert hiking with sound, which was a slight regret.
If our later itinerary hadn't already been fully booked, we definitely would have stayed at this hotel for another two or three days. On the first day, we played at Xiansha Island, and on the second day, Yuansha Island.
In a word: Worth every penny. If your budget allows, I highly recommend this hotel."

The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding tidy, and all the basic amenities were provided, making for a comfortable stay. Both the owner and staff were very warm and genuine, always willing to help when needed. It's also very convenient for sightseeing around; horseback riding and other grassland activities are all nearby. You can even enjoy the grassland nightscape in the evening. We had a great experience with both the food and accommodation here. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to the grasslands."

"We went to this hotel on a family trip and booked a lodge.
We arrived after dark, the hotel team was helpful in getting us to our lodge, although the languange barrier was clear. Transport was done by electric carts.
The lodge was cosy and comfortable, with a nice terrace with wetlands view. Good beds, and a spacious bathroom. It was clean.
The dinner we had was good for people liking chinese food (kind of chinese barbeque). The breakfast was chinese too, which may be an issue for people who are into more traditional western breakfast. The buffet was diverse, a lot to choose.
The location of the venue is great, plenty of activities for families.
We were there during Golden Week. Perfect temperature (10-15 degrees), blue skies...

"The room was a bit small, probably due to being in a desert environment. There was no separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and not much space for luggage. However, the hotel service was excellent. The shuttle bus was quick and responsive, and the evening firework show had a great atmosphere. The folk activities were also quite unique. For dining, you have to go to Fusha Island, which was generally good with plenty of meat. Other amenities like the unlimited free drinks, milk tea, and coffee were great. There's also an e-sports room and VR experience for kids, which is a big plus for parents looking to relax."

The scenic area has a wide range of activities, including horseback riding, archery, Mongolian cannons, tobogganing, go-karting, and you can even change into Mongolian robes for photos. "I stayed at this hotel for two consecutive nights and it was really great. The night view of Kangbashi is absolutely beautiful, and the city is incredibly clean. The hotel itself has a strong sense of design, almost like a Hong Kong-style hotel. While the main entrance might not look as grand as traditional hotels, the hotel's attention to detail is excellent. I initially saw some online reviews saying the hotel was too dark and not clean enough, but I found it to be perfectly fine and didn't encounter any of those issues. The only minor drawback was that the window in the room I stayed in on the second night was a bit small. It was a little inconvenient for my child when doing homework at 9 PM. Later, I saw another room with a much larger window, so I swapped with my friend."

"I chose this hotel primarily because it's a convenient 10-minute walk to the Five Pagoda Temple, which is then just another 10-minute stroll to Dazhao Temple. It's also only a 10-minute walk to MIXC Mall, making its location incredibly convenient. Being in the city center is a huge plus. Of the three hotels we stayed at in Hohhot this trip, this one is the most established, so the service was absolutely top-notch. Our room even offered a great view of Qingcheng Park! We didn't try the breakfast, but my family said it was decent, though not as good as the other two hotels we stayed at. The facilities are okay. Guest UserThe hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive.
However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

Full Version
We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good.
That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile.

Guest UserI brought my family to Xilamuren Grassland this time and we stayed at the Saibei Inn. The inn is right on the grassland, so stepping out, you're greeted by endless plains. The view is incredibly open and the air is fresh. In the mornings and evenings, you can enjoy a cool breeze, which is really refreshing. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding tidy, and all the basic amenities were provided, making for a comfortable stay. Both the owner and staff were very warm and genuine, always willing to help when needed. As the last stop of our Hulunbuir trip, this guesthouse absolutely exceeded our expectations! The owner was incredibly welcoming and even upgraded our room. The room itself was designed in a wabi-sabi style, with smart home features throughout, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. We slept so well, it truly rivaled many high-end hotels. Before we left, the owner even gave us a small gift. If we ever come back to Arxan, we will definitely choose to stay here again!

YinlingyiFacilities: I was very satisfied with the entire facility. The areas were clearly defined, and I was surprised to find that the yurt was fully equipped and incredibly comfortable – truly a luxurious yurt.
Environment: The environment was exceptionally good. The overall courtyard design gave a sense of tranquility amidst the bustling city, with beautiful scenery at every turn.
Service: The service was the most thoughtful. For a traveler like me, it brought a sense of comfort. The staff were very enthusiastic, attentive, and considerate.

Anonymous UserI'm so glad we booked our stay inside the Xiangshawan Desert Scenic Area! It made everything so incredibly easy. Each room came with 6 bottles of water, and the air conditioning was already on before we even arrived. Even though it's a yurt, the interior space is very large, and the private bathroom is super clean. The hotel's services were all excellent. The all-inclusive meals were not at all superficial; each meal featured local specialties like lamb offal soup, savory milk tea, and plenty of beef and lamb. The quality was on par with outside restaurants, and we all agreed their milk tea was the best we had during our entire trip. After a fun day exploring the two islands, returning to the hotel wasn't boring at all. In the evenings, there were disco parties, firework displays, and stargazing. Every event was well-organized and very entertaining. It truly lived up to its nickname, 'Desert Disney'! Definitely worth the trip!

Jacki4Few of the amenities listed on the listing page are available. Maybe they were at some point in the past long ago, but this hotel is far from in its prime.
There is no sauna. The ”bath center” where this was has been converted into a commercial spa for a business unrelated to the hotel.
There is no night club.
There is no ”gym” as shown in one of the pictures. I believe a lot of the pictures shown on the listing page are years if not decades old.
There is no ”boutique”. There is one tiny convenience store on the first floor.
The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor. I only used it for the free breakfast which was good.
The hotel largely focuses on catering to business events. They have meeting spaces and a big ornate looking meeting space. For normal travellers, this hotel is very bare bones.
Service was great. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The laundry is not self service. You need to pay per article of clothing for someone to take it.
The room itself lacked a minibar, functional air conditioning, or a functional safe. It was very spartan.
Would I come here again? Not for the listed price. Without any of the advertised amenities, I can't imagine this is much better than cheaper hotels in the area.

I really enjoyed the charming courtyard setting; it felt very cozy and comfortable to stay in. We drove all the way from Ulanqab, and as we planned to visit Lvshuiliang the next day, we searched for nearby options and booked this guesthouse. It's a traditional rural-style courtyard, very clean and well-maintained. There weren't many other guests, and the room amenities were quite comprehensive.
