"My first time in Ordos. Location was great! Toiletries were very thoughtful (toothbrush w/ toothpaste, comb, vanity kit, shower cap, shaving kit). Provided me with a daily midday snack (2 kefir, 2 nectarines, handful of cherry tomatoes, 1 small cookie and 2 small savory rice crackers). Housekeeping was very attentive. Daily routine of removing trash and replacing towels. They left small detergent incase I wanted to use their laundry facilities. I stayed a total of 4 nights/ 5 days. Staff was amazing, Check-in and Check-out was a seamless process."

"The food at the hotel was excellent, and there were so many activities to enjoy. The VIP queue experience was also great. From a value-for-money perspective, even though it was expensive, I felt it was totally worth it. However, there were a few minor shortcomings:
1. A very small number of staff members tried to shirk responsibility. When we first returned to the hotel from Xiangshawan, the waiting area was completely empty. A drowsy older gentleman told us to just get on the next jeep that arrived. As soon as the jeep pulled up, about a dozen people appeared, led by a female staff member. She immediately started bossing us around, saying it was for *them* and that we should go queue up. I was quite annoyed and said that when we arrived, there was no one here, and now that *they* have arrived, we're suddenly told to queue up, meaning we'd be stuck behind these dozen-plus people and God knows how long we'd have to wait. Seeing my strong tone, this female staff member simply said, ”I don't know,” shrunk her neck, and stayed silent. She made no effort to help us or manage the other group, acting as if we should just sort it out ourselves. Fortunately, another vehicle arrived quickly, and the driver was excellent, immediately saying there was space for everyone and that there were plenty of cars. If it weren't for the good driver, and me being tired, I would have definitely noted down the employee number of that staff member who was so aggressive at first but then immediately cowered and dodged responsibility when faced with someone assertive.
2. The wait time for the small train shuttle to and from the room was very long. I suggest informing guests how long the wait will be. The first time we left, it arrived in about 2 minutes, so I assumed it would always be quick. The second time, I waited for ten minutes and it still hadn't arrived. Only after calling again was I told it would be another five minutes. I recommend informing guests of the expected wait time during the initial booking to help them decide whether to continue waiting. Furthermore, the so-called QR code reservation system was not user-friendly at all. You couldn't note the number of people, it didn't show how many people were ahead of you, and I didn't see any time advantage. I specifically took a photo of the QR code and made a reservation while I was in the lobby, but when I went upstairs, I was still behind people who only reported their room numbers to the staff *after* arriving upstairs.
Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I definitely plan to come back in the summer."

Upon entering the room, we found four bottles of mineral water, and there was a whole table full of snacks at the end of the hallway. Shortly after, we received welcome drinks. Afternoon tea ended at 5 PM, where my husband and I enjoyed coffee and pastries, including delicious yogurt gummies. At 8:30 PM, there was a late-night snack of millet porridge, small steamed buns, and northern-style pickled vegetables – all flavors from our childhood, which ended up replacing our dinner. Breakfast was even more abundant, with many of my favorites. Besides the freshly made wontons, noodles, and rice vermicelli, I especially loved the Mongolian milk tea and lamb offal soup. It was a very satisfying one-night stay."

"I stayed at this hotel for two consecutive nights and it was really great. The night view of Kangbashi is absolutely beautiful, and the city is incredibly clean. The hotel itself has a strong sense of design, almost like a Hong Kong-style hotel. While the main entrance might not look as grand as traditional hotels, the hotel's attention to detail is excellent. I initially saw some online reviews saying the hotel was too dark and not clean enough, but I found it to be perfectly fine and didn't encounter any of those issues. The only minor drawback was that the window in the room I stayed in on the second night was a bit small. It was a little inconvenient for my child when doing homework at 9 PM. Later, I saw another room with a much larger window, so I swapped with my friend."

The location is moderate, quiet in the middle of noisy, self-driving friendly is convenient to go anywhere, the building is owned by the group, a area downstairs is its own large square, and there is a light fountain; there are many restaurants around, and it is within walking distance.
The room is large, the moving line is reasonable, the decoration, the interior is very detailed, the material and selection are good, so the overall texture is out, the cleanliness and comfort are quite satisfactory, and I can really feel comfortable and relaxed during my stay.
The service is actually very good, polite and enthusiastic, and also free to help children print homework materials temporarily. However, the premise of the stay is to call the details one day earlier (still at work), during the day, I choose not to clean the room and call to confirm (being driving), this personally feel that I am disturbed, i people do not need to contact too much haha
The buffet breakfast on the first day (10.2) felt that the hotel was a bit expected to be insufficient. After nine o'clock, the supply of ingredients could not keep up. Although it was added later, there was indeed a peak gap of not short time. The next day (10.3) breakfast time was obviously adjusted, and the whole supply was smooth. The breakfast is rich and delicious, and there are changes every day. Lao Guang said that he is satisfied with the ingredients and products.
The hotel is good or not, but also depends on the state of the service staff. The front desk, lobby, room cleaning, restaurant service, front chef, supervisor, everyone is very good and attitude. This is the peak season, it is not easy."

Full Version
We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good.
That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile.
Balanced Short Version (Google/TripAdvisor):
Great experience thanks to one of the owners, who personally organized activities for us. The dinner and show were a highlight—original Mongolian traditional dance and singing that was unique and impressive. Food was excellent at all meals, especially the Lamb Bao at breakfast, and the staff were genuinely warm. Costs were quite high compared to what I'm used to after 10+ years in China. I recommend the horse riding off the main area as suggested, but the Happy Ranch activities weren't worth the time or money—though that's external, not the hotel's fault. Didn't use the actual hotel amenities, but the hospitality and performance were good.

Parking was easy, and the room was clean and tidy. My kids absolutely loved the capsule beds! The shower and tap water had temperature displays, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was fantastic – a great variety of delicious dishes, all served at the perfect temperature. Five-star recommendation!

Guest UserThe location is superb, very close to Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The Chinese-style courtyard has an elegant environment, and the room facilities are complete and high-end, featuring smart home systems, a Dyson hairdryer, and direct drinking water. It's clean and tidy. The service is thoughtful, and you can even bring pets. I had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend it!

Jacki4Few of the amenities listed on the listing page are available. Maybe they were at some point in the past long ago, but this hotel is far from in its prime.
There is no sauna. The ”bath center” where this was has been converted into a commercial spa for a business unrelated to the hotel.
There is no night club.
There is no ”gym” as shown in one of the pictures. I believe a lot of the pictures shown on the listing page are years if not decades old.
There is no ”boutique”. There is one tiny convenience store on the first floor.
The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor. I only used it for the free breakfast which was good.
The hotel largely focuses on catering to business events. They have meeting spaces and a big ornate looking meeting space. For normal travellers, this hotel is very bare bones.
Service was great. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The laundry is not self service. You need to pay per article of clothing for someone to take it.
The room itself lacked a minibar, functional air conditioning, or a functional safe. It was very spartan.
Would I come here again? Not for the listed price. Without any of the advertised amenities, I can't imagine this is much better than cheaper hotels in the area.

The first time I went to Hohhot, I participated in the half-marathon. This hotel is right next to the starting point, which is very convenient. The hotel's service is too intimate. In order to facilitate the participants in this horse race, the breakfast at 7 o'clock was specially advanced to 6:30. Another thing to be commended is that the hotel did not sit on the ground during the horse race, unlike the Dalian Marathon I participated in before, the direct price of the hotel near the starting point doubled.

I really enjoyed the charming courtyard setting; it felt very cozy and comfortable to stay in. We drove all the way from Ulanqab, and as we planned to visit Lvshuiliang the next day, we searched for nearby options and booked this guesthouse. It's a traditional rural-style courtyard, very clean and well-maintained. There weren't many other guests, and the room amenities were quite comprehensive.

Lack of amenities, food, and transportation. Hotel was unable to find a transport for us that left us stranded, we had to find our own way out as it was located within the National park -private area . Food was supposed to be pre-ordered, we tried to add some extra dishes more than 5 hours before dinner, still cannot be arranged for. They arranged a private dining area for our family, however did not clean up from previous guests, there were storage of old chairs and tissue paper lying around.
Hotel has no other facilities apart from the room itself and the cafe. No pool, spa/sauna or facilitators
Overall the room and view was nice, but it can be accessible without the stay.
