"Coming to Ordos to see a play, I chose this renowned five-star hotel, and I truly felt it was worth the trip. The room was very spacious, and the view outside the window was absolutely beautiful, with a seating area perfect for a short rest. The long table under the TV was also very convenient to use. The yurt-style canopy over the bed immediately gave it a strong sense of ethnic and regional charm. It’s also worth mentioning that they provided welcome fruits and a souvenir gift. The breakfast restaurant is on the 2nd floor and can accommodate many people dining at once, so there's no waiting for a table. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with many Inner Mongolian regional specialties like milk tea and meat shaomai. The taste was authentic, allowing me to enjoy breakfast while also experiencing the unique culture of Inner Mongolia. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit."

The Seven Stars International Hotel is located in Erlianhot, Inner Mongolia, an international port city. The hotel not only provides a comfortable residence for business travelers, but also meets the needs of port trade social and quality leisure with the positioning of "urban third space".

"## Ambiance: The hotel is situated right on a wide road, with a large parking lot out front. The room itself was quite spacious. ## Service: There was only one staff member at the front desk, and she was very busy, but still managed to check me in efficiently. She thoughtfully explained all the important details. Kudos to the staff for their professionalism! ## Facilities: The basic facilities are excellent. There's a rainfall showerhead, and the lighting controls are well-designed and easy to use. The air conditioning panel even has special instructions. All of these were fantastic. The only minor issues were that the automatic flush on the toilet would splash onto the seat, and some of the inverted power outlets in the room were unusable because plugs wouldn't fit. Despite the cool weather outside in Erenhot, the room felt stuffy without the AC on, perhaps due to the small windows. It would be even better if these minor details could be perfected. It felt like the hotel had recently done some pest control, likely due to the season. ## Breakfast: The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was very satisfying, and the milk tea was delicious. ## Overall: My overall stay was great!"

"The room decor was very thoughtful, and for the price, it came with a comprehensive set of amenities. Delivery service was also very fast, and the bathroom smelled pleasant. The front desk lady with the round face was really cute. I originally booked this as a simple过渡房 (transit room), but it turned out to be full of pleasant surprises: the linens felt clean with no old smell, the breakfast porridge and side dishes were warm, and even the bathroom drain had no odd odors. Xiao Liang, Xiao Ma, and Xiao Sun at the front desk all provided excellent service, and the cleaning staff would proactively greet you when passing by. It didn't feel stiff like previous hotel stays at all; it was as comfortable as staying at a friend's house."

"It's recommended to prepare disposable bathtub bags, a wooden tea rack for the bathtub, and a non-slip mat inside the tub. Also, add a non-slip mat next to the tub and a rack for bath towels, hand towels, and bathrobes. Having only a bathtub without other amenities is not enough. Since it's a themed room, the service and facilities should be comprehensive."

"Overall, a great stay! The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Hailar Station. The decor throughout the hotel is quite vibrant and lively. Our room was well-equipped with a humidifier, projector, and heated toilet seat, and there was plenty of space. The only downsides were a faulty nightlight in front of the sink in our room, which flickered frequently and disturbed our sleep, and the mirror directly facing the bed, which I personally found a bit uncomfortable. I hope the hotel can address these points."

My stay at the Xiangshawan Lotus Hotel was absolutely perfect, comfortable and pleasant throughout. The biggest surprise was the hotel's dining, which completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel is located deep in the desert, with its pure white lotus shape making it highly recognizable. The rooms have excellent lighting and views. The all-inclusive policy was a real convenience; the Sand Island and Joyful Sand Island attractions offered unlimited play with a wristband, and the exclusive skip-the-line access for guests saved a lot of waiting time. The evening activities like bonfires and stargazing created a fantastic atmosphere. The staff were warm and attentive, with meticulous and thoughtful services like luggage handling and inter-island shuttle buses, ensuring a hassle-free experience throughout our desert trip. There are also various entertainment facilities at the Blue Lotus Hall, where the 'Yue Lian Hui' (Leaping Lotus Club) allows children to experience the excitement of competition and the joy of winning. I must particularly praise the food: the breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets offered a rich and balanced selection of dishes. The authentic Inner Mongolian beef and lamb were tender and free of ***** taste, with hand-pulled lamb and freshly roasted lamb chops tasting truly authentic. For breakfast, the Mongolian milk tea and dairy products had an authentic flavor, and the hotpot for dinner featured fresh and ample ingredients. Chinese and Western hot dishes, desserts, fruits, and beverages were available in unlimited quantities throughout the day. The Shalian Hall also provided self-service snacks and drinks from day to night. Despite being in the dry desert, the food quality was consistently high, with timely replenishment of ingredients and stable flavors. Every meal was satisfying, and we didn't have to worry about finding food elsewhere. The hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive. However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

Here's the updated review with that additional context: Full Version We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good. That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile. Balanced Short Version (Google/TripAdvisor): Great experience thanks to one of the owners, who personally organized activities for us. The dinner and show were a highlight—original Mongolian traditional dance and singing that was unique and impressive. Food was excellent at all meals, especially the Lamb Bao at breakfast, and the staff were genuinely warm. Costs were quite high compared to what I'm used to after 10+ years in China. I recommend the horse riding off the main area as suggested, but the Happy Ranch activities weren't worth the time or money—though that's external, not the hotel's fault. Didn't use the actual hotel amenities, but the hospitality and performance were good.

I am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience. I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed. After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend. In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me. I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness. Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.

There were a few frustrating issues with our stay here. First off, the property is in a neighborhood that is accessed through a guarded gate. Hotel instructions after booking said to reach out to them to inquire about car parking and accessibility. I e-mailed the hotel a week prior and didn't hear back. I e-mailed again 2 days before our stay and did not receive a response. That was already frustrating. Once we arrived at the guard gate on the day of the check-in, the guard ordered us to drive away. He had absolutely no interest in even looking at our reservation or helping. The least helpful person we have met in China so far, he just basically yelled at us. I ended up having to walk to the hotel, where a staff member had to phone the guard to eventually let us in. Overall, this was a totally wasted, frustrating hour. Once we got assigned a room, it was evident a large dog had stayed there for several days. The room smelled very bad, which even the staff member agreed with. So, we had to ask for a room change. The new room was ok - the bed was nice and soft, however it lacked in some cleanliness (toothpaste splashes on the bathroom mirror etc.). The staff was definitely nice and tried their best to rectify all the issues, however, we would probably choose another hotel in the future. Not the 4* experience one would hope for.

I'm so glad we booked our stay inside the Xiangshawan Desert Scenic Area! It made everything so incredibly easy. Each room came with 6 bottles of water, and the air conditioning was already on before we even arrived. Even though it's a yurt, the interior space is very large, and the private bathroom is super clean. The hotel's services were all excellent. The all-inclusive meals were not at all superficial; each meal featured local specialties like lamb offal soup, savory milk tea, and plenty of beef and lamb. The quality was on par with outside restaurants, and we all agreed their milk tea was the best we had during our entire trip. After a fun day exploring the two islands, returning to the hotel wasn't boring at all. In the evenings, there were disco parties, firework displays, and stargazing. Every event was well-organized and very entertaining. It truly lived up to its nickname, 'Desert Disney'! Definitely worth the trip!

Few of the amenities listed on the listing page are available. Maybe they were at some point in the past long ago, but this hotel is far from in its prime. There is no sauna. The ”bath center” where this was has been converted into a commercial spa for a business unrelated to the hotel. There is no night club. There is no ”gym” as shown in one of the pictures. I believe a lot of the pictures shown on the listing page are years if not decades old. There is no ”boutique”. There is one tiny convenience store on the first floor. The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor. I only used it for the free breakfast which was good. The hotel largely focuses on catering to business events. They have meeting spaces and a big ornate looking meeting space. For normal travellers, this hotel is very bare bones. Service was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The laundry is not self service. You need to pay per article of clothing for someone to take it. The room itself lacked a minibar, functional air conditioning, or a functional safe. It was very spartan. Would I come here again? Not for the listed price. Without any of the advertised amenities, I can't imagine this is much better than cheaper hotels in the area.

Why is this hotel rated so highly? I think it's biased; there are just too many problems! 1. They require a deposit, and if you don't give it, they lock up your slippers and the refrigerator. 2. There's no headrest, just a bump; who can comfortably sit there? 3. They take away your slippers, give you a pair, but won't let you wear them in the shower! 4. The space under the TV is too narrow; you can't put anything there! 5. They only serve shumai on Wednesdays and Fridays! 6. It takes over ten minutes to cook a bowl of noodles! Such a huge pot for just one bowl of noodles?! The service is also indifferent! I strongly advise against this hotel. I originally booked for two days, but I immediately checked out!

Nice stay, food is available for morning, lunch, dinner extra activities: - go kart - horse riding - dancing and singing from locals during lunch/dinner a performance show available close to here, the owner can sell you the tickets for 140 instead of 280 from the ticket office. sometimes you don’t have warm water, so it might be a bit difficult during winter.
