This was my first trip to Harbin, and I booked a riverside hotel near the Songhua River on Ctrip. My stay at the Harbin Habsburg River View Hotel (St. Sophia Church branch) was overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the service and breakfast. From the greeters and front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was consistently described as 'warm, attentive, and caring,' making it feel just like home. They even offered complimentary access to the executive lounge, which truly showed how thoughtful and considerate the hotel is.
The breakfast was incredibly rich and featured local specialties. What really stood out was the long serving time, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing us to sleep in and enjoy it as a brunch – a luxury usually only found in international resort hotels. The variety was impressive, including Northeastern dishes like 'kill-pig' stew, chicken stew with mushrooms, 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork), iron pot stew, frozen pears, and Kvas, along with Lanzhou beef noodles, wontons, tofu pudding, and big bone stews.
The hotel's location is also excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk (500 meters) to Central Street, the Flood Control Monument, and the Chinese Eastern Railway Bridge. St. Sophia Church and Daoli Market are within a 2-kilometer walk.
Directly across from the hotel is the entrance to the Songhua River Cableway. We stayed on the 11th floor in a high-level river view room, offering distant views of the river and Swan Castle. The night view was truly beautiful. The room was well-equipped with a humidifier (essential in dry Northeast China), heated eye masks, sleep earplugs, a foot bath, bath salts, and charging cables. They also provided a complimentary fruit platter and snacks daily, and the bottled water was from Quanyangquan.
This hotel is a 'service-driven' choice offering excellent value for money. With its thoughtful service, abundant breakfast, and convenient location, the Habsburg is definitely worth choosing. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Harbin and would even recommend it to friends.

The hallways are elegant and quiet, making me feel very safe even when traveling alone. The disposable amenities are clean, hygienic, and of excellent quality, so I felt comfortable using them. The air conditioning maintains a comfortable temperature, ensuring a pleasant stay no matter the season, and the room feels dry and fresh, not stuffy. The front desk offers 24-hour service, which is a huge plus. The entire building is a grand and beautiful colonial-style house with a rich historical atmosphere, perfect for taking amazing photos. The check-out process was simple and quick, and the service was thoughtful, making my departure just as easy and pleasant as my stay.

This time, mini_cloud stayed in a European-style hotel near Central Avenue in Harbin. It was super convenient for shopping and dining. The room had drinks, and they delivered fresh fruit every day. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also amazing; I was surprised to find substantial dishes like roast meat, sausages, and prawns, along with local specialties like Guo Bao Rou (fried pork in sweet and sour sauce) and red sausage. There was also a great selection of fruits and desserts. Every staff member I encountered, whether at the front desk, in the restaurant, or housekeeping, was incredibly warm and polite. They always proactively helped with my luggage when I arrived and departed. When checking out, an uncle even gave me a souvenir — a small orange package with coffee and candies, which perfectly matched the color of my clothes! Mini_cloud had a wonderful vacation in Harbin.

We wanted more than luxury .
We wanted a hotel that truly reflected Harbin’s character, heritage, and history. We are glad to have discovered this hidden gem.
Mansion 1903 Hotel is probably one of the most charming hotels in Harbin, beautifully blending old-world elegance, modern comfort, and strong Russian heritage. The location is excellent, conveniently close to Zhongyang Street, yet peaceful and refined.
The rooms are spacious, clean, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable, while the staff are warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Their service made our stay especially memorable.
The elegant lobby environment, together with the traditional Sarafan and Kokoshnik costumes, also provided a wonderful opportunity for photography and added to the hotel’s unique cultural atmosphere.
Special thanks to Mr. Deng for his meticulous sharing and introduction of the antique collections displayed in the hotel lobby. His passion and knowledge greatly enriched our experience.

The room was spotless, and there was plenty of space for the two of us. The hotel's entrance had a lovely, sophisticated scent. Having a robot deliver our food orders right to our door was incredibly convenient. Most importantly, it's really, really close to Central Street. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful hotel! We received a free room upgrade, and the room was spacious with impeccable cleanliness. The bed was absolutely magical. The room also had an ironing board with an iron, a coffee machine, and a powerful hairdryer. There's a laundry room on the floor. Breakfasts were good. Near the reception, there's a counter with tea and refreshing drinks, complimentary packed lunches, fruits, and pastries. The location is very convenient, right next to Arbat, with everything within walking distance. We don't regret choosing this hotel and would gladly return again 🫶🫶

The hotel boasts a great location, situated at the northernmost end of Central Street. A right turn outside leads directly to Central Street and the Flood Control Monument, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city center. It also features its own parking lot, a rarity for hotels on Central Street. However, be aware that the rooms are relatively small. The standard double room is practically just enough space for the bed, with no desk. The suites have a separate small room with a TV and coffee table, but are also quite cramped. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money this season, especially convenient for those with a car. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, making it a highly recommended hotel.

What a pleasant surprise to discover a newly opened Novotel right next to Saint Sophia Cathedral in Harbin! My stay far exceeded expectations. Everything, from the room's layout and spaciousness, the comfort of the mattress, the plush feel of the carpet, the softness of the towels, the overall cozy room design, the practical placement of power outlets, to the additional comfortable appliances, truly showcased the quality of an international hotel. We decided to extend our stay on the very first day, and I'm so grateful to the front desk for their seamless check-in and extension arrangements. Even late at night, they were actively assisting us by communicating our requests to the night shift. The breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety of choices! I highly recommend everyone visiting Harbin to check out this place!
Facilities: Simple and practical, though the smart Tmall Genie seemed a bit quirky, perhaps needing an update.
Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy.
Environment: Beautiful window view.
Service: Friendly and welcoming.
Arriving in Mohe on the Snow Country Train, we checked into a cozy haven, the eLong Hotel, nestled in a wonderland at the far north. As we opened the door, a 270° bay window offered breathtaking panoramic views of the snowy plains and icy mountains. The 1.8-meter wide king-size bed, comfortable sofa, and spacious bay window transformed the -30℃ outdoor chill into a wonderfully warm and familiar indoor sanctuary. This provided a safe and comfortable resting environment for my elderly parents on their first long journey. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, providing extra hangers, bottled water, and tea of the same quality, which gave my family great peace of mind.
In the morning, we welcomed the sunrise with stunning alpenglow outside our window. The hotel's varied and delicious breakfast kicked off our invigorating trip to Mohe. We had a delightful interaction with charming deer, and to the rhythm of jingling bells and trotting hooves, we ventured into the natural ice and snow city. Gazing at the winding, extensive border of our nation felt like being in a fairy tale, truly purifying the soul.
Thank you to the hotel for providing such a haven – it was more than just accommodation; it was a conduit for transmitting Arctic culture. As the horse-drawn carriage once again traversed the snow-covered forest, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of our next icy dawn.

What's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night?
The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view.
The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please.
This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret.
It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place?
Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.

NNiutou™The Yabuli Yabuluoni Hotel boasts an excellent location right in the heart of the ski resort, offering incredibly convenient ski-in/ski-out access directly to the slopes and lifts. The rooms are clean, warm, and offer expansive views; you can enjoy the snow scenery right from your window. The facilities are comprehensive, with ski rental and dining all available in one spot. The service is enthusiastic and responsive, and it offers great value for money. It's truly the top choice for a ski holiday; we had a comfortable and worry-free stay. We'll definitely choose this place again next time. Highly recommended!

YYanggaomeinvTraveling to Harbin with my child, our first stop was the Xana Hotel (Harbin Central Street Sophia Church). The hotel's location is perfect, situated in the middle-north section of Central Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. Zhaolin Park is just 100 meters east, across the street, and the main Central Street is 50 meters west. St. Sophia Cathedral is about 500-800 meters away on foot. The hotel lobby was super cozy, offering a stamp check-in and afternoon tea. The staff provided excellent service. Since I hadn't planned my trip and decided to go last minute, I asked about Harbin's specialties. They even added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to dining, entertainment, and attractions around the hotel. The breakfast was incredibly rich, meeting all the nutritional needs (meat, eggs, milk, fruit) required for traveling with a child. On the day of check-out, I decided last minute to take some travel photos with my child near St. Sophia, which delayed our check-out time. The staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM for free. All in all, our first stop in Harbin made us feel so warm. If you're staying around Central Street, Xana is definitely the best choice!!! I've already recommended it to many friends since returning to Beijing. 😙😙😙

WWOSIKYI was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Originally, I booked it as a transitional stay between 1903 and Aoluguya. But the room gave me the impression that the owner only wants to make money in winter – is this really what you get for 300 RMB? The hardware is top-notch, and the bedding is super comfortable. You can tell there are thoughtful touches throughout the hotel, like the bathtub door that opens and closes to suit different guests, and you can even watch TV while soaking. The small courtyard is also lovely with a little pond, which I imagine would be fun for a dip in the summer. The slippers were comfy too. I actually missed breakfast because the bed was so comfortable I just slept right through it 😂.
There's one minor complaint: the sink faucet doesn't have an aerator, but the bathtub faucet does. It doesn't really affect anything though. The toilet isn't electric, but personally, I'm not bothered by those things, and a non-electric toilet actually fits the hotel's overall style quite well.
Overall, even though it was an upgraded room type, the biggest difference between room types is just the size, but the price difference isn't huge. I'm definitely willing to pay a bit more for a better stay.
Even though it's next to the street, it's very quiet. I'd definitely choose this hotel again in the future; it's genuinely good.
GGuest UserService: I specifically chose the Junyi Hotel out of three for the Gaokao (college entrance exam), and it proved to be an excellent decision.
Exclusive Butler Welcome Gift: The main reason for choosing this hotel was the incredibly friendly service. We visited the hotel twice in one day to view the rooms, and the front desk staff were always enthusiastic, provided detailed explanations, and were incredibly patient!
Facilities, Cleanliness, Environment: On the day of check-in, the room was clean with no strange odors, and the layout was well-designed, making for an extremely comfortable stay. When it came to the personalized decorations for the Gaokao, Junyi truly surpassed many boutique hotels. The most memorable person was a gentleman wearing glasses; his service was consistently warm and thoughtful throughout, and he was kind and friendly to everyone, considering every detail. From check-in to daily needs, everything was handled very appropriately. The heartwarming service made us feel truly cared for, making it a very pleasant stay!

RRongshuxiadewoI stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, the most luxurious hotel in Northeast China, from May 21st to 23rd, and honestly, I didn't want to leave! The exceptional service, top-notch facilities, and gourmet cuisine were truly unparalleled. David Hong Yu-zhe at the front desk was not only handsome and sharp but also incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. He arranged a breathtaking river view room for me on the 47th floor, offering a stunning 270-degree panoramic view of the Songhua River! In the evening, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. While waiting for the Northeastern specialty, Stewed Chicken with Mushrooms (which takes a while to prepare), our wonderful server, Irene Dong Yu-tong, enthusiastically told us that the restaurant's ceiling lights were crafted using the famous local snuff bottle technique. The hotel's buffet breakfast was exquisite and lavish, featuring everything from Eggs Benedict to salmon. The attentive and meticulous server, Linda Zhao Yu-nuo, even went out of her way to make me a latte in a to-go cup for my sightseeing trip. The outstanding service truly enhanced our entire visit! I left with a fantastic impression of Harbin. It's the small details that make all the difference, and having stayed at many Ritz-Carltons in China and Singapore, I can confidently say that Harbin's is the absolute best! 👍👍👍!

GGuest UserI was truly impressed! I arrived at 1 AM, and the front desk staff was incredibly patient. The breakfast was delicious and the place was very clean. No strange smells from the bed or bathroom. Plus, the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, with the toilet and shower in separate cubicles, which was really convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Harbin. It's also super close to Central Street!
