The hotel is right in Sanfang Qixiang, which is super convenient, and not far from the parking lot. It's also pet-friendly, and you can even bring your dog to the breakfast place across the street for a proper meal; very convenient! The daily seasonal fruit platter and exquisite snacks: The fruit and candied fruits were both excellent. Environment: The room was very spacious, and the service was friendly! The entire hotel is built in an ancient architectural style, full of character!

I genuinely recommend this hotel; it was such a comfortable stay, and everything was superb! The cleanliness truly exceeded expectations – it was meticulously clean! The room was spotless, inside and out. The bedding was white and soft, with absolutely no strange odors. The bathroom was sparkling, with no dust even in the corners and crevices. Every nook and cranny was perfectly cleaned, making the stay very reassuring. This attention to detail is a huge plus. The environment was also excellent. The overall decor was simple and comfortable. Public areas were spotless, and the hallways were quiet, not noisy at all. The room had great natural light and was spacious, making it very pleasant to stay in, with no cramped feeling whatsoever. All the travel fatigue just melted away. And the service was incredibly attentive. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and all the staff members had wonderful attitudes – gentle and patient. They responded promptly to any requests, making me feel welcome and at home throughout my stay. In summary, I couldn't find a single fault with the cleanliness, environment, or service. It offers great value for money, suitable for both leisure and business travelers. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit. Highly recommended!

Had a terrible experience. The comforter was damp. Aside from the sea view, it was worse than staying at an Atour. The most frustrating thing was the long wait to check out. When I asked the front desk, I was actually scolded! I reflected on it afterwards: 1. I wasn't feeling well and my reactions were slow. 2. If a five-star hotel can't shake off its 'Kong Yiji' (pretentious and outdated) attitude, it should at least maintain its facilities, even if the price is a bit higher. 3. Maybe I haven't stayed at hotels requiring a deposit much in recent years.

It was a little difficult to find the hotel at first, so I had to ask around for directions. The hotel is located in a shared building with office tenants (search for: Changjiang Securities as per in the first pic), so during peak hours, expect some waiting time for the lifts. The room was exceptionally clean and spotless, and the view was absolutely stunning, overlooking Kulangsu Island. Although the reception staff did not speak English, they were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help with my laundry. I simply dropped it off and collected it the next morning. Thank you for the excellent service and for going the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I was very satisfied with my room. The hotel also offers luggage storage, and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. The robot delivery service is a great touch. This is a fantastic hotel. It's right downstairs from Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly convenient for all the attractions. The room was also spotlessly clean. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xiamen. Highly recommended!

I'd been looking forward to staying at the Lujiang Hotel for a long time. Back in 2019, when I traveled to Xiamen, I already had my eye on this prime location. Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing renovations then, so I couldn't make it happen. This time, I brought my mom for the Dragon Boat Festival and booked three nights here without hesitation. The entire stay was pleasant and perfect. We stayed in a premium sea-view balcony king room. The room offered an unparalleled view directly overlooking the endless ocean. The amenities were brand new and tastefully designed, with a perfect blend of retro charm: from the floor indicator in the elevator on the first floor to the antique telephone on the sixth floor that was actually functional, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Every evening, they offered a different comforting complimentary soup, which they could even reheat if it got a bit cool. The welcome fruit platter was abundant, and these details were especially heartwarming. The hotel also gifted us a Qipao photoshoot at Zhuyanjji, and with the hotel's scenic backdrop, the atmosphere was incredible, resulting in a series of stunning vintage-style photos – an unexpected and delightful surprise. The breakfast package quality far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast spread was extensive, and dining on the terrace while enjoying the views and delicious food was wonderful. Minnan specialties like Shacha noodles, Wu Xiang (five-spice rolls), and Xianyuzhao (savory taro dates) were all available. The dishes were updated regularly, so we didn't get tired of them over our three-day stay. What truly impressed me was the service. The front desk staff was well-organized; even during busy periods, someone was immediately available to assist. Housekeeping was meticulous and thorough. When I got mosquito bites, the front desk provided cooling balm. The doormen proactively opened doors and helped with luggage, all with warmth and decorum, reflecting the calm and thoughtful service of a well-established hotel. My mom and I had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. The Lujiang Hotel certainly lived up to its reputation. This trip was perfect, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen!

This is genuinely the first time I've actively and wholeheartedly given a positive review. The hotel environment is absolutely fantastic, perfect for families with kids – they'll be entertained from morning till night. The hotel also offered so many perks that we couldn't even use them all. Plus, the hotel has a grand layout, which really sets it apart from other family-friendly hotels. The hotel upgraded our room to a waterside room in the main building. This is the first hotel I've ever encountered where you can pack up your buffet breakfast to go! It was incredibly convenient! One morning, the main building restaurant was full with a long queue, so I asked the butler if we could go to the Shuiyuan Restaurant instead. They agreed without hesitation and even arranged for a late check-out. Oh, and adult socks for the kids' club are provided for free! Many other family hotels charge 5 yuan per pair! This really shows their superior approach! We didn't have time to use the complimentary afternoon tea on the day it was offered, but they kindly extended it for us multiple times! Every detail, every request we had, was immediately addressed! They also provided swimming rings and sand toys. In short, with all these thoughtful details, the hotel truly has a big heart and a grand vision! My expectations for family hotels have definitely been raised! Now, for a couple of very minor personal suggestions that I think could be improved: The hotel is very large and primarily caters to families, so the kids' club could be even bigger, perhaps 1500 sq m, 2000 sq m, or even larger, aiming to be the largest kids' club among family hotels in China. I noticed that kids especially love the trampoline, but there's only one, which can lead to older kids without family supervision competing with younger children for it. Other than that, I have no more suggestions; the hotel has done an outstanding job.

This stay in the deluxe king room was fantastic! The space was so generous I could actually practice yoga in it. The bedding was custom-made, with a mattress that was just the right firmness and pillows in both high and low options – perfect for crashing after an all-nighter. The separate shower and toilet (wet and dry areas) were a huge plus, and the water pressure was so strong it felt like a spa. Plus, the room was spotless and well-maintained. The service was excellent too. Check-in at the front desk was super quick, which I really appreciated. The breakfast offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, with enough variety to keep things interesting every day, and plenty of time to enjoy it at leisure. A special bonus was the airport transfer service, and the large parking lot meant I never had to worry about finding a spot.

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

GGuest User1949 truly feels like an idyllic retreat, far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet brimming with local charm. It's conveniently located very close to the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster (Four Dishes and One Soup). The front desk and service staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We booked a family suite with a slide, which was an absolute hit with the kids! They played all evening, and there was constant laughter – it was truly delightful and excellent value for money. We had dinner at the hotel, and it was also fantastic – the chef truly puts thought into every dish. Breakfast by the stream, listening to the gentle babbling water and enjoying the crisp morning air, offered a truly unique and wonderful experience. Simply wonderful! 👍

AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

KKatleenBI had an amazing stay at this hostel! My private room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. But what really made the experience special was the great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making it easy to connect with other travelers. The common area downstairs is spacious, with a playful dog and cat roaming around, as well as games to enjoy. We ended up playing mahjong almost every night. The hostel also has a great location in the 1916 arts district, just a 15-minute walk from the old town. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly; check-in and check-out were both handled efficiently and quickly. They patiently answered all our questions about local dining options, and their recommendations for restaurants were spot-on – the food was fantastic! The complimentary buffet breakfast offered a great variety of dishes, and the quality was excellent. It was incredibly satisfying to start each day with such a rich and delicious meal. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and offered excellent value for money. I would definitely choose Fengdalin Hotel again on my next visit to Putian, and I highly recommend it to anyone!

It's clear the owner has a great eye for design. The amenities in the room were also very comprehensive – even a Dyson hairdryer and facial tissues in the bathroom, which shows real attention to detail. We drove here, and parking was super convenient and free. The butler's service attitude was excellent too. And breakfast was quite tasty. I'll definitely book this place again next time I'm in Pingtan!

GGuest UserThe room was great, with brand new facilities and plenty of space. The hotel staff, especially the lady at the front desk, had excellent service attitude; you could really feel they genuinely cared about helping guests. Before checking in, I communicated my request for a non-smoking room and mosquito control, and sure enough, I wasn't bitten by any mosquitoes and there was no smoke smell. The shuttle service was also very convenient. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.
