Ace Hotel and Swim Club Palm Springs
4/543 Reviews
The Ace Hotel & Swim Club is a modern desert oasis with 2 deep pools, a spa, a gym and close to downtown Palm Springs. I enjoyed my Ace Suite with King bed, upscale living area with vintage furniture like a steamer trunk, guitar, record player and more. There was a private patio, fireplace and bath with a shower & tub. I relished the meals at the onsite Kings Highway (modern roadside diner) especially the Belgian waffles and breakfast burritos. The Feel Good Spa offers guest a laid-back massage and other spa treatments. I opted for the Deep Goodness Bodywork treatment to alleviate my tension and soreness. So, if you are looking for a hotel with a desert chic, natural hot springs and a mountain backdrop............then try the ..........Ace Hotel & Swim Club..............a resort framed by a mountain backdrop and modern homes.

Palm Springs hotels are lower in price. Palm Springs hotels are basically in the form of hotels because they are closer to Los Angeles and the housing prices are generally very high. Especially on weekends, they are basically 1000+. This hotel can park for free. As our transit station to Redeem Mountain and Ole is good, we just sleep a bit, the rooms are average and the health is average. If you rest overnight instead of coming to vacation, this hotel is OK of

Very recommended. Because there is a kitchen, you can cook by yourself. After eating American food for a period of time, I cook a porridge in the morning and play with a few dishes and I feel very happy. This place can meet this requirement. The whole house is relatively large, with two rooms, a bit big for the three of us, suitable for two families to live together. We live on the first floor. If the second floor is on the second floor, it will be more convenient to dry. The desert is drier, and the clothes are dried as soon as they are washed.

The environment and location of the hotel are ok, but the service is not satisfactory. Ctrip stated that the in-store breakfast plus $11, but the hotel charged $38 according to the rack rate, communicated with the front desk, and showed the Ctrip order note, but let us find Ctrip. The parking fee was obviously $18, and the credit card charge was $25. Later, I went to Ctrip's customer service to recover it. Ctrip's after-sales service is as good as always. The hotel’s random chargeback phenomenon, I still hope that the friends who stay in check the bill.

I think I might be a little generous with a four star rating. However this is the first time travelling to Palm Springs so I have nothing else to judge it by. We set up our reservations via AirBnB. When we arrived we were told we needed to pay a $40 daily ”resort fee” that clearly was not reflected in the listing. The man at the reception desk advised he would need to check with his central booking. Long story short it took more than two hours for him to do so. we actually went and had lunch and he still did not have an answer for us. Meanwhile we still dd not have a room. When we finally did get get word that they would waive the fee, we still waited another hour to get our secret room code. It was just after the 4:00 check in time. Our room was a two bedroom corner suite with a full kitchen. Property appears to be either new or newly refurbished. Not sure if the stove or pots and pans were ever used before us. Yes, they give you ONE cup of free coffee to be used in the pour over coffee system. Otherwise the cost is $15 for a ten (?) ounce bag. Fridge was stocked with beer, wine soda, etc all for a fee. We pushed all the stuff to one side of the fridge and went to the grocery store (a block away) and filled it with our own (grocery store also carries beer & wine). Room was very comfortable. Great beds, nice shower/bathroom Wrap around balcony had a rope swing/seat along with chairs and a table. Unfortunately ours overlooked two vacant lots. No storage for clothes other than a basket full of hangers and a couple steel bars to hag stuff on. Other than a couple scatter rugs the floors are cold concrete. Definitely hear people walking above you so would suggest top floor if possible. Pool was nice but was not available for an early morning swim. Also had to pay for the use of cabanas. Never did see anybody using one. Did not eat in the restaurant but did utilize the bar. Personally not a fan of tequila or mescal but they evidently specialized in it. We did not pay to park nor did we see any parking attendants for valet service. In fact the 'front desk' (outside kiosk) was rarely attended. Definity a great location as far as being close walking distance to shops and restaurants. They do offer complimentary use of bicycles, that we did not use.

Totally taken advantage of. Due to severe wind, all flights were cancelled so had to book a room for the night. Because it’s Valentine’s Day weekend I knew it would be more money and limited availability in the city but this dump was over $300! Robbery! Dirty. Hair on the pillow, hair in the sink and on the floor. I have a shaved head so definitely wasn’t mine. With Covid going on I was so uncomfortable I slept will all my clothes on including my hoodie. They sprayed a ton of deodorizer in the room but that ain’t foolin anyone. This is a $50 hotel so shame on them for what they do. I’ll pay $300 for a nice hotel and immaculate room but this was gross.
