Wonderful hotel with excellent location. The room was clean, very comfortable and had great view of the London Stadium. The location was amazing, next to a huge Stratford Shopping Centre and to the subway station with many subway lines. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. KUDO to the Concierge Staff, especially NALEEF, DANIEL, AND ONE OTHER GENTLEMAN (sorry! i forgot his name). My wife got pickpocketed in London. The Concierge staff, especially Naleef, went above and beyond their duty to help us to deal with our distress moments. He advised us to report the theft to the London Police, and also the Concierge staff helped us tremendously to deal with our stolen credit cards. We really appreciated what these amazing staff did for us. Thanks so much to Naleef, Daniel and to all the Concierge staff for making us feel so welcome and for all your unforgettable help during our stay. The world needs more of these people like your Concierge staff. Hyatt should be very proud to have these amazing Concierge staff. We certainly will return to this Hyatt hotel in the future and would highly recommend this Hyatt hotel to anyone!

My partner and I recently stayed at The Peninsula London, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

From its location and the comfort of the building's exterior to the staff's service attitude, everything scores top marks! Although the hotel's buffet breakfast doesn't offer a wide variety, the quality is excellent, and it was a very comfortable dining experience, with the waitstaff being very attentive! Additionally, the service received at the hotel's main entrance and the exceptional care taken by the staff in handling our heavy luggage during checkout, ensuring it was transported downstairs to the taxi, was commendable. These experiences definitely make us want to return!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel exceeded expectations on arrival, better than the photos in the lobby and ground floor areas. Check-in process whilst smooth was a little awkward when I was told that the booking agent hadn’t transferred payment, I’d paid in full when I booked, Ember Locke would “look into this”. The facilities in the room were great, the use of the space for a city studio was good. The lighting was moody, another light option over the dining space would be an welcome option. No phone access from the rooms and laundry facilities meant repeat visits to the front desk as there was some discrepancies in information about laundry detergent and kitchen plug. Wet weather made the front tiled area slippery, a mat would be a great addition to the space. Whilst 24 hour front desk service was advised, at time of my check out the desk was unattended and I was unsure how to proceed, assuming all was OK leaving the room pass by the front desk. A refurbish of the lift interior would finish the space nicely. Overall, really comfortable stay and the opening of the bar soon will be great for this property.

GGuest UserLet start with some positives:- Great location, very close to tube station, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and within walking distance of many tourist attractions. The area is very safe with both foot and vehicle traffic, travelling as a solo female I never felt unsafe at any time of the day or early evening. The room was well appointed with all you needed in a well set up mini kitchen for cooking some meals, although there was occasionally a cooking smell in the hallways when other guests were cooking something very strong. The main areas, including a fantastic (app. required) laundry were always clean and tidy. There is a seating area adjacent to reception where you can make yourself a drink and relax. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom mid grade with hot water (more about that later) Now to the negatives:- There were two issues whilst I was staying here, one was no hot water for one weekend and no wifi for another weekend. Whilst these issues do occur I'm sure at other hotels from time to time the communication was poor around these issues, with staff not able to answer when these issues would be resolved. After quite a few to and fro's the reception staff finally found another hotel for me for one night so at least I could have a shower. Before I checked out I took the oppurtunity to sit down with Marco, the front officer manager to provide him with my constructive feedback about my stay and the issues including communication. Marco thanked me for taking the time to speak to him, and hopefully my feedback will assist management in future if issues like this arise again. Although these issues did arise and detracted from my overall happiness with the stay I would be happy to stay here again in future as long as issues identified are dealt with promptly and communication has improved.

CCherry NGTalk about the bad first! Hygiene: You have to stay for seven nights before someone can do hygiene! Sheets were stained. There are black spots on the towel, and there are small insects on the carpet that itch. In terms of hardware: the building is considered new, and the decoration is also considered new, but there are also many flaws. There is no air conditioner, there are as many fans as there are rooms. Only open windows and blow fans in summer. Convenient configuration: All bath products, any daily necessities that you can imagine will be given to you in a normal hotel, all need to be purchased by yourself. Some kitchen utensils are installed and left enough and cannot cook properly. Reservation: Make sure that adults must be 25 years old to make an appointment. If you are under the age of 25, you must apply for occupancy with your parents. Appointments were slow and emails came and went, and Trip.com didn't help much either. Talk about the benefits! Location: It is about 5 minutes away from the Cross Habour DLR station. It is also a 15-20 minute walk to the canary waft. There are two supermarkets nearby. Accessories: There is a washing machine with dry laundry function. There is a dishwasher and a large refrigerator. Scenery: The scenery is not bad if you look at the riverside. All in all, the price/performance ratio is definitely cheaper than hotels in the same area, and the space is very spacious. But it's more troublesome if you can't tolerate hygiene problems.

GGuest UserThe apartment was nice and cosy. Quite a reasonable price for a studio apartment in the city area. But the gap between bed and the sofa bed was so small that is hard to walk through. Not sure why there must be a pillar protruding from the window which one will hit against it when we walked to the bed/sofa bed which I experienced it the second time from booking the same hotel.

GGuest UserIn general, the hotel is a very comfortable place. The staffs are so nice and very helpful. The restaurant for the breakfast are also really good. And it is located in a very convenient location, you can very easy to take bus to Richmond or ealing board way to go to central london or the airport. My mum visit me in London. I booked a 2 bed’s room, but basically the room is only for her to stay. She lived there for 10 nights. The hotel guaranteed that they will do housekeeping every 7 days. For the last night I choose to stay with her. However, I accidentally found the bed is full of hairs. Some hairs are short, and some are long. Which should not belongs to my mum. It means the housekeepers have not change the bed sheet and those hairs are not belongs to my mum, because she stay in only 1 bed. But that bed with hairs is the other one. Clean and tidy for a bed is the basic requirement for an accommodation. That’s really disgusting and unacceptable for an apartment hotel. All in all, I would recommend other travelers to stay but the hotel should train staff to do the room cleaning well.

SSpeedyI booked this on price as I needed to be in the area. Cost was £178. A nice hotel is £215. Honestly had I known what a dump this place was I would have gone to the hotel. Water pressure almost non existent and a broken shower, huge crack in the window in the room. The room smelt of something and it wasn't good. No air con so I had to open the windows and was woken up by the early morning flights over London. Corridors were endless and only one lift working which took ages to arrive each time. I walked past one room that was boarded up . The place is tired, out of date and not a nice place to stay.

GGuest UserThe worst hotel stay I have experienced! Arrived after a hectic day at work only to be greeted by the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I travel and stay in London on a weekly basis and have never experienced customer service like it. Receptionist was agrresive in attitude and demanded a cash payment of £100 on entering the hotel. I explained I had paid in adance in full via booking.com with no notification at time of booking that a deposit would be required. Rudely demanded of photo ID and notified a charge of £250 would be taken for evidence of drug use. I am a professional business customer and this was so poorly judged by staff. I was told I was emailed on booking that cash deposit of £100 would be demanded on booking 2 weeks prior. Communication was provided on the day at 9.00am via booking.com email and was not seen due to being at work. Was told I should walk to a cash point in the rain with little direction as to where the nearest cash point was. It was pouring with rain, getting dark and I was a lone female customer. Receptionist replied that she was happy to cancel my booking if I preferred . The day of the queen's return to buckingham Palace with no chance of securing an alternative hotel. After returning with the cash I was given a key card with no holder with room number on. I made my way to my room after clarifying room number twice, staff area doors in corridors left open exposing dirty laundry, key card device broken off door, semen stains on wall, public hair on top of bed sheets. Mortified, so much so I didn't get under the sheets for fear of what I would find. Tried to have a wash to find the shower gel had been topped up 3 quarters with water from a previous guest. Worst stay of my life!!! Unsafe and should be closed down!!

JJames HorthWhere to begin, Well as a Luddite myself I was a big fan of the fact that the television didn’t work and that it couldn’t connect to any channel so that’s a huge bonus for me. Secondly, I love the work of Alexander Fleming and was fascinated to find the lovely mould samples left through the bathroom, bare amenities, other than the couple sachets of soap instead of bottles. Furthermore, I was pleased to find that as a avid enjoyer of the worlds thinnest duvet I was pleased to find that not only do I have shirts thicker than the duvet but that it almost appeared that it was just the duvet cover and no duvet inside at all! Also, it may be bold of me to assume that when I book a room with a double bed I don’t expect two single beds pushed together and thinly covered by a bedsheet which when laying in the gap the two beds a pushed apart furthering the gap between them aita or what? Moreover, when attempting to try and sleep I couldn’t, no matter how hard i tried, tune out the droning of what I can only assume to be a small nuclear reactor going into meltdown or a jet fighter taking off (the boiler) from roaring all night long. Don’t waste your money my advice is if you want to stay near Hyde park save yourself the disappointment and buy a tent and sleep in Hyde park itself. The only redeeming factor is the location. I would recommend going elsewhere.

GGuest UserDon’t know where to start. The room it self wasn’t where the reception was, turns out it’s about 100m down the road & round the corner, making the below issues not worth chasing up for a short stay. A horrible smell, Very sewage/stagnant water I would say. Which come from the bathroom sink, which hair & gunge was blocking it leaving a slight blockage. Very cramped, you couldn’t swing a cat around the room. Window latch was damaged, led to feeling insecure even being high up. Dodgy wall fittings. Inc now where to hold the shower head on the wall. Crap little kettle that was broken & burnt my partners hand. Rusty/dusty fan. No bin! All round a pretty grim place. This said room is what my guess is one of a few which is not advertised in the photos when viewing/booking.
